Dog Events in Maryland

This dog-friendly farm event features Halloween trick-or-treating for pups, a chance to learn training tips from a local dog training club, and opportunities to support the Morgan Chapel Pet Food Pantry through donations. Bring Fido to this special night during Christmas in Ridgely Winterfest of Lights for a chance to visit Santa and receive a photo just in time for your holiday card. Proceeds will support the Caroline County Humane Society.

Leashed dogs are welcome at this annual holiday parade hosted by the Ridgely Lions Club, in conjunction with Christmas in Ridgely Winterfest of Lights</b! Line-up begins at 6:15 PM at the Martin Sutton Park 4th Street Parking Lot, and the parade will travel along a festively decorated Central Avenue. Santa will be at the train station after the parade for visits!

Enjoy this annual boat parade along the C&D Canal, traveling from its western entrance into Chesapeake City. Spectators can watch from scenic waterfront locations and stroll by the participating boats as they dock overnight at Chesapeake Inn and the town docks, keeping the celebration going along the canal and basin.

Sip on brews, shop from local vendors and let your pup join the fun! You'll find handmade and small-batch gifts, pet-themed products and seasonal treats for your four-legged friends, cozy self-care and wellness items, and more.

Celebrate the holidays with a festive dog parade featuring winter- and holiday-themed costumes, or watch the procession from the sidelines. Participants can walk a half-mile loop with their pet. Pet photos with Santa will be available at the Visitor Center.

Leashed dogs are welcome to join you as you get into the Christmas spirit at this festive event, modeled after the traditional Christmas Markets in Germany. Vendors in wooden booths will sell traditional European food, sweets and drinks. Enjoy browsing a large variety of international holiday gifts, ornaments and crafts. Please check the event website for weekend and holiday hours as well as special or weather-related closures before attending the event. Fido is welcome in the outdoor areas and large parts of the indoor tent area, except for the Käthe Wohlfahrt vending area. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays; closed on Nov 25th & Dec 25th; will be open on Dec 21st and Dec 22nd.

Join a gentle, all-levels yoga session surrounded by the joy of puppies and dogs. Stretch, breathe, and connect while supporting spay, neuter, and rescue programs. All friendly dogs welcome—must be up to date on vaccinations, and owners must email proof prior to the event.
