The O Retreat Near Mount Royal Conservation Area
Our secluded architectural holiday house in Southern Tasmania is a rare gem designed with all the heart felt details to suit for your romantic weekend escape, heart warming families gathering, group retreat or simply a quiet self nurturing hideaway while enjoying the magnificent view, culture, lifestyle and rich produce that the channel area has to offer
The O Retreat is designed by architect David Travalia, utilizing typical Tasmanian wood with high ceiling glass windows for the maximum view and sunlight, set on on a 25 Acres private land surrounded by ocean, forest, islands, and much Tasmanian wildlife. Four bed rooms retreat with sun decks and balconies with a breathtaking view, queen size beds, exquisite cotton bedding, modern fully equipped kitchen, dual fireplace with wood supplied in winter and a Jacuzzi.
The retreat specialized in offer guided yoga and meditation sessions, reiki energy healing, essential oil treatment massage, deep cleansing/recharge mineral spa, heart-based emotional clearing therapy and anti-aging emerald treatment. Advanced booking required.
The Retreat has 4 bedrooms, 250 square meters in size, can offer stay for 10 adults. The room rate is include continental breakfast, tea/coffee and snacks, basic cooking ingredients such as cooking oil, seasoning, rice/pasta/noodles plus a range of spices. The gourmet meal packs, wine and cheese, local organic veges and fruits on a supermarket price for purchase as a meal option. The 4 bedrooms are one master bedroom with ensuite and private balcony, one sunny ocean view queen bedroom, one ocean and bushland view tripe's bedroom and a family room with a double bed and single bed.
The Basic rate $449 is for 2 people stay, for an extra person stays in the other room is $50 per night per person. please contact us before to arrange it. Or you can choose the total number of people will stay, the website will calculate the cost automatically.
We are an adult accommodation but do welcome kids younger than 2years old (one baby cot can be provided with notice) or older than 12 years old. (No extra bed service for all the rooms)
Private parking onsite, pick up service can be booked in advance with an extra cost.

We respect your privacy so you can have as little or as much interactions as you like. If any help or assistance needed just a call away. I will either be talking to you in the phone or be there physically to assist any of your needs straight away. Nickie will love to give you a lots of tips about the area or have some nice chat over cuppa if you like.
The Neighbourhood
Middleton is a quiet rural town with lots of views of the sea and the lovely green fields that only the Huon can provide. Its on the D'Entrecasteaux Channel about 50 km (45 mins drive) south of Hobart, is the perfect location to start your Southern Tasmanian experience.
The area has an abundance of Wildlife, Orchards, Vineyards, Restaurants, Cafes, Cheeseries and local stores. Middleton itself has a local store, a boat ramp and beach, with a children's play area. The Channel has an abundance of fish, with a good supply of Flathead!
One day you will be delighted with the antics of a pod of dolphins as they leaped and played in the sparkling waters. Another day, when it rains, you will be treated to the sight of wooded hills wreathed in mist, and that's when you can played cards and other games. You will be looking forward to your next visit to Middleton.
The area's big event is Middleton Country Fair, held annually on the first Saturday in February and on your way down the channel in the weeks running up to the fair you will become aware of Scarecrows on fences, in paddocks and up trees. These are no ordinary scarecrows, they are humorously attired and their job is not to scare crows but rather to win a competition, the famous Middleton Country Fair Scarecrow Competition. Each year around 2,000 people attend with over 70 stalls with crafts, tasty foods, plants, animal displays, trade displays, pony rides, sheep shearing, bands, performers, vintage, veteran and classic cars collection, raffles, kid's games.

Other Things to Note
No microwave or any harsh chemical product used in the house as we try to avoid the negative energy in the environment. TV only used for watch movie with DVD player or your own computer/Ipad.
