Experience Victoria at the unique Chinatown Quarters at Waddington Flats. This flat has undergone a full revamp, including unique vintage pieces, a custom wall featuring a timeline of Chinese history in Victoria and thoughtful decor throughout which echoes the neighbouring historical Chinatown district in Victoria.
Enjoy a fully-stocked kitchen, in-suite laundry, A/C and heat, high-speed wi-fi and a flat screen TV. For our guests who are working while travelling, there is a separate desk in the living room. In September 2022, we upgraded the bedroom with a brand new mattress and a brand new bed from West Elm.
This flat is perfect for a couple. For our guests travelling with infants, a crib is available upon request.
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Welcome to the trendy and vibrant LoJo Neighbourhood of Downtown Victoria!
Brightly painted Victorian-era shop-fronts flank both sides of busy Lower Johnson Street between Wharf and Government Streets. Once home to hotels and stores supporting the gold rushes of the 1850s and 1890s, today the area is known for its local and independent trendy boutiques, shopping and restaurants. Outside your front doorstep is Victoria's finest Italian restaurant, Il Terazzo and around the corner is the heart of Victoria's shopping and dining mecca. Quaint alleys throughout the neighbourhood connect you seamlessly to bustling streets with award-winning restaurants, cocktail lounges, bars, pubs, coffee shops, yoga studios and local boutiques.
This unit is located in the heart of Downtown Victoria facing an alley-way that connects two streets with popular bars and restaurants closeby, weekend evenings in the alley can be quite full of life!
The iconic Parliament building is only a 5 minute walk along the waterfront. We also recommend to book and enjoy high tea at the Royal Fairmont Empress on your way there!
OUR BUILDING
Chinatown Quarters is located at Waddington Flats (est. 2014), a boutique building dedicated to short term rental guests. Each of the six suites of Waddington Flats features a unique theme. In addition to the Chinatown Quarters, the building will also feature the Parliamentary Suite, The Indigenous Loft, The Garden Room, The Naval Suite and the Orca Pad (coming soon!).
TRAVELLING FROM SEATTLE
The Clipper ferry terminal is 1.3 km (0.8 miles) from our building. It is a short 4-minute drive or 15-minute walk along the inner harbour.
TRAVELLING FROM VANCOUVER
The single best way to get from Vancouver to Victoria is take the "BC Ferries Connector" bus leaving from either YVR Airport or Downtown Vancouver to Downtown Victoria. The bus drives right on to the Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay Ferry and the price of your bus ticket includes a 1h30m ferry ride over. Alternatively, you could rent a car in Vancouver and cross by car on the ferry. The ferry is such a fun part of coming to Victoria, often times you can see whales!
For those willing to spend a bit more money, the 30 minute Harbour Air seaplane trip to Victoria is a real treat with incredible views!

PARKING
There is no need to bring a car as almost everything is easy walking distance from our place. We are located right downtown! Unfortunately with our urban location, there is no parking in our building. If you do choose to drive, across the street from our alleyway (less than 60 meters from the building) is the Yates Street Parkade. The daily rate here is $17.50/day. City street parking (include the Yates Parkade) is free after 8pm every day. The parkade is free all day on Sundays and on statutory holidays. Please be sure to read the parking signage in the area that you parked in for any changes to the parking rules or for temporary parking restrictions. We keep our parking information as up to date as possible, but we are not responsible for any changes to the parking rules or temporary parking changes. PETS
Pets are more than welcome! An additional $40 CAD flat cleaning fee will apply, regardless of the length of stay.

NO SMOKING or VAPING:
There is no smoking or vaping allowed inside the flat, on the balcony or patio, or in the breezeway. This includes any type of device, form or method, as well as, the use of any kinds of drugs -- decriminalized, legal or illegal.
NO PARTIES:
There are no parties or events allowed in the flat or anywhere in the building.
QUIET HOURS:
Please keep in mind our building quiet hours are 10:00pm until 9:00am. If you are having a noise issue with a neighbouring flat during the Quiet Hours, please let your host know.
UNREGISTERED GUESTS:
No unregistered guests in the suite or building at any time (i.e. if your reservation is for one person, we expect just you in the suite and building). If you have friends or family coming to visit you, please ensure you have let the host know and the host is in agreement. If there is anyone who will be staying in the suite with you for at least one of the nights, they must be listed on the reservation as a guest.

Permitted with Host approval. Some conditions and fees may apply.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Please ensure you are familiar with our moderate refund policy: Full refund 5 days prior to arrival. No exceptions are made under any circumstances.
By making a reservation at Waddington Flats you are agreeing to follow the above policies. Breach of any of our policies will be grounds for cancelling your reservation with no refund for remaining nights.
