The hotel is old, quaint, small, and charming. Does not serve breakfast and you take your life in your hands crossing a very busy street to get to the Riverwalk. BUT the worst was the damage fee of $50 that was on my bill. Our 11-year old 10-pound Chihuahua with arthritis was with us. They accused us of allowing her to make the scratches and gnawing marks on the door. She was not left in the room for even a minute. Will never stay at this place again. Advice: have a walk through of the room when you check in and one before paying your bill. Trust nothing.

My husband and I, along with our Golden Retriever Goshe, recently stayed at this beautiful, historic, boutique hotel. All the staff were super friendly, accommodating and helpful. We loved our room with the full sized fridge, great bed and air conditioning - a plus after a hot San Antonio Day! Situated on the Riverwalk it is a great location for sightseeing and dog walking. Goshe appreciated the manicured lawn out front, the dog dishes and comfy bed. She gives it 5 out of 5 bones. Thanks for a great stay!

Love the fact that they provide a bed and bowls! There is a small area out front for pets to use the bathroom or you can walk to Madison Square Dog Park which is what we did to let our puppy run around! Also love the unique vintage rooms. Ours had sky windows and a full-size refrigerator!

When we arrived we found a huge bed, two bowls and a couple poo bags in our room. There’s grass right out front behind gates, and the restaurant on site is also dog friendly. It’s a bit of a hike to anywhere downtown, but it’s right on the river, so at least it’s a nice walk.

We are so beyond thrilled we found this pet friendly gem! We were scheduled to arrive after 9pm, and the amazing staff had put a food and water bowl, along with a massive dog bed, in the room in anticipation of our visit. The room we stayed in was on the first floor with easy access to the outdoors to relieve the pup. Lovely grounds, right on the Riverwalk, with the most delicious restaurant on premises. Highly recommend eating on Ocho’s patio with the pup. Expect to pay a pet fee and a parking fee. Don’t miss out on this perfectly maintained boutique, historical hotel. Stay during the week for savings. We will absolutely be back to this pet friendly spot in our future travels!

Excellent trout entree, steak very good.
