Description
Our redwood cottage is a wonderful house perched on the ledges above Birch Harbor. It has gorgeous views and has plenty of wonderful blueberries for picking. You can watch the tides from the kitchen table and see the humming birds flit past the windows. It is private, the last house on the road, surrounded by trees and has a wrap-around deck for taking in the quintessential views of Maine. It is located 5 minutes from Winter Harbor and the Schoodic Peninsula portion of Acadia National Park. The property extends down to the water and it is possible to launch small boats, kayaks, or canoes right from the rocks below the house. The large combined living/dining area provides a great place to gather for meals or with friends. Natural tide pools on the shore provide a great temporary home for crabs and starfish before the tide comes back in. There is even a bald eagle that sometimes perches in the trees in front of the house. Well behaved pets are always welcome.
