Sakoya -Yoshino- is located in the middle of Yoshinoyama (Mt. Yoshino) Nara Prefecture presenting superb view of beautiful nature surroundings each season. In the spring cherry blossoms bloom. The summer is a time of a greenery with verdure. The fall is when the leaves turn crimson red. And when winter arrives then comes the snow. Sakoya -Yoshino- is a very traditional ryokan (Japanese style of accommodation) with long history and the entire building is made of Yoshino cypress and cedarwood that gives it a comfort and relaxing feel. Over the course of its long history it has been favoured by many writers and artists who still visit to be inspired. Soak in the open air-baths to relieve your fatigue of hustle and bustle city life before enjoying Japanese cuisine using seasonal rich local produce from the land and the river. From April till November breakfast is served at Garden-Terrace that offers you a very relaxing time with fresh morning air in a great nature of Yoshino. All guest rooms are Japanese style featuring Japanese architectural structure made of Yoshino cypress and dedarwood. Some of the rooms have private open air bath. Rooms are air-conditioned and toilet TV refregirator safe is standard facility in room. Towels shampoo rinse toothbrush soap hairbrush hair dryer and Yukata (Japanese-style nightwear) are available in room. Access information* From Yoshino train station on Kintetsu Line take the cable car to the last station. It is a 5 minute walk from the last station to Sakoya -Yoshino-. Nearby attraction* The whole Mt. Yoshino is registered as World Heritage. You can walk and visit various World Heritage Buildings including Yoshino Mikumari Shrine Kinpu Shrine Kinpusenji Temple and Yoshimizu Shrine.
