  Sparkling room

  Wayside Inn really caters to our fur kids! The room was sparkling clean. Easy walk to the beach. Hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. Thank you for a great stay.

  Great time and people

  Everyone was fantastic. Room was large and this is one of the most pet friendly motels we've stayed at. Towels and water waiting for cleanup after pet play on the beach. Got to watch the beach bunnies (4 legged type) playing at the park across the beach. Only negative was the bathroom was small, but the room was huge so that's OK.

  OK for dogs, but too small for humans

  Bathroom door blocks narrow path to the door.
  Only one place for a suitcase. No good place to hang clothes. Shelf over suitcase has hangers, but hangers fall off tracks. Shelf is too low to hang anything and we hit our heads on it getting into suitcase OUCH! Only one tiny trash can in the room and it's located next to the toilet. Can't throw anything away when someone's in the bathroom. Also not a good location to dispose of food and drink containers.

  Great Location

  The Wayside Inn at Canon Beach was perfect for us and our 2 terriers. The ladies were so welcoming when we arrived, accommodating during our 3 day stay. The property has very good areas for dogs to relieve themselves and doggy bag station. There is an area across the street from the motel to walk the dogs where there are bunnies and brambles and the occasional elk. Finally, the inn is across the street from a state park with easy access to the beach. For the humans there is a chowder house and a very nice grocery within steps of the inn. Furnishings are clean. The bed was very comfortable. The inn supplies perfect amenities for your dogs. Bowls, sheets for furniture covering if needed and a towel for your pup. We will definitely stay at Wayside Inn again. AND they are 250 yards from a friendly brew pub with awesome food.

  There was a basket in the room with a dog treat,towels,bowls and sheets so the could lay on the bed. Great stay

  Great for the Dogs

  Loved our stay! They had a little treat basket for the puppy and even a crate to keep her in if we went out and wanted to leave her in the room! There were special linens so she could get on the furniture! They also had a couple bowls in the room as well as plenty of pet relief areas with trash cans and bags for potty stops! Would definitely stay here again!!

  Lovely hotel with great beach access

  This was our first time at this hotel, but we have stayed at one of the sister properties. We would definitely recommend it. We appreciate the pet sheets, bowls and towels. I loved the dog towel pick up and drop off by the office. It was very convenient to dry her off there, before we even got to the room. We had an end room and enjoyed the extra window in our bedroom. The view was properly advertised and we did enjoy it. It’s very convenient to walk across the street and parking lot onto the beach. We wished it was a little nicer outside so we could enjoy the balcony.

  Very Dog Friendly

  Great location within walking distance of the beach. Dog towels provided to wipe your dog off before going back into your room. We will stay there again.

  Great Overnight

  After a longer than expected drive in from Seattle due to an accident that shut down the 101 for over an hour, we made it to the hotel just before sunset. The check-in was fast and we were on the beach with our dogs to enjoy the last bit of the setting sun. The room was clean and the welcome basket was wonderful. Especially the cover sheets as we had accidentally left one of ours at a previous stop. The room warmed up quickly and the electric fireplace is a great touch. We slept to the soothing sounds of the constant waves. The well insulated rooms kept all other noise out. The restaurant at the beach was a great place to get food to go, great clam chowder. We met wonderfully nice people who were also traveling with their dogs. And Winnie was thrilled with rabbits and how large the beach was and chasing her ball. Odie got several people to pet him which made his day. Already planning a long weekend in 2020.

  Best dog friendly experience of my road trip

  The location is wonderful with a view of the ocean that is right across the street and easy access to a nice beach. At check in they provide a " pet basket" with a dog treat, towels for drying the dog if you go to the beach, and sheets to put over the bed if your dog likes to sleep on the bed. The room was clean and nicely appointed with a nice gas fireplace next to the door that led out to the balcony overlooking the park and beach across the street. Next door is a pub with an outdoor area you can take your along with you for a meal and a drink. It was a little chilly so I got mine to go and went back to the room to enjoy the fireplace. Andy at front desk was friendly and helpful. Great place!
