  This property is either new or newly renovated. Everything was in great shape and very, very clean. Well lit parking lot and entrances. Plenty of easy access for pup to potty, too. My only comment is the bed was super high. I am 5’2” and the top of the mattress hit me mid hip, which made getting in and out of bed challenging. Amusing but challenging.

  Not Good

  I would give zero if I could. This is an old hotel that La Quinta was converting to one of their own. I would never stay here again. I have stayed at many La Quinta’s over the years and this one was not good.

  Most comfortable beds ever!

  I don’t know why, but these mattresses were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. We got a late start the next morning because we didn’t want to get up.

  Disappointing

  Stayed here last year and not much has changed. Still remodeling and still very shabby. Breakfast was pretty bad-tasteless eggs and overcooked sausage. The room was very clean and that matters most but this hotel is overpriced. The grass was very high for dog purposes, even for a standard poodle.

  Was clean but the room is showing signs of age. The tub floor was discolored and there was damage on the walls. Staff was very courteous.

  Didn't feel so safe

  I stayed here with my Golden Retriever on Sunday, May 14, 2023. The room was fine and the breakfast was good - I particularly liked the cheese grits casserole. The doggie bag station was stocked and there were lots of grassy areas to walk through at the neighboring office park. There were also a number of people hanging out in their cars in the parking lot, mostly men. Seemed like these people were waiting for something? One car had a couple and they did not look happy. And they were there again later when I came back after dinner. Someone walking her dog from the neighboring Red Roof Inn said there were drugs and prostitution and noise all night there, and though I did not experience undue noise, I did feel uncomfortable with the parking lot loitering at the La Quinta.

  Not very dog friendly

  Grassy areas closest to hotel were labeled “no dog zones” and the ones designated for dogs were far in the back of the hotel, not well lit at night, poop riddled, and out of dog bags. I always bring my own doggy bags but even with picking up my pups poo, the grassy areas were covered! The rooms were stinky (not really of dog smell) but didn’t allow you to feel clean! The floors were questionable (my pup knocked her water bowl over and when I cleaned up with a white towel, the towel quickly became brown) and I was nervous to even walk barefooted.

  The blackout shades in my room were missing and the AC in my dad’s room would not work. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, the spring were loud and poked into my back all night long. The hallways were dark with dirty carpet and walls and the paint was chipping on every surface. The hotel was loud all night long with tons of people walking up and down the hallway, doors slamming, and loud conversation! This hotel is in need of a huge renovation and facelift!

  Dog hair everywhere

  On the road traveling South with our dog, I booked a night at this hotel. I understand that they allow pets, but our room had long dog hair all over the bathroom counters and the bed “dust ruffle” was covered in hair, as though it had not been cleaned. Floors were dirty, as well. Outside were few spots without trash everywhere to take pet for potty, but they did provide waste bags. Wish it had been cleaned better. Only giving 2 bones because they allow pets. Please instruct staff to clean the rooms!

  Horrible Hotel

  Check in clearly stated as 2:00pm. Tried to check in early and told no way not until 2:00pm. Asked to use rest room and told there is no restroom but of course once we checked in the restrooms were right in the lobby area. Room was dirty and very well worn. Doggy areas were very small and full of droppings. Hotel in very poor shape. Needed quarters for the laundry and was told to go next door to a different hotel to get quarters. Do yourself a favor and find a different hotel!

  Really bad

  Some La Quintas are nice, but this is not one of them. The first room smelled so bad we couldn’t stand it long enough to unload the luggage rack. The second smelled bad, but was bearable considering it was midnight and we were exhausted. We still had to clean and disinfect the room though because it was gross. Then we had to change the sheets because there was hair all over and they were dirty. Bathroom floor was gross, and the part of the tub you stand on was majorly chipped - didn’t use it. We didn’t get any sleep because it was loud, and we had to ask for room keys that worked 3 times.

  Just what we needed

  For our move from the Midwest to the south, this was the perfect stay. I was able to book late at 11 pm and arrived half an hour later. The pet stations were nice and the room was quiet and comfy. Would definitely stay again!

  Good in Town Location

  Room was clean. Had tile floor which is good for the dogs. The dog walk area is a small strip of grass between the adjacent hotel. No issues and would stay here again.

  Great Overnighter

  Great stop while passing through Tennessee. Easy off the highway and plenty of dogs using the hotel. Seems to be a Fido favorite.

  Nice stopping point

  The hotel was half way on our journey. Very convenient, clean, had a nice hot breakfast, no extra charge for our two dogs (who were on their best behavior). Only thing that surprised me was that the check in clerk told us she was afraid of dogs! She would not get on the elevator with us and the dogs when she was doing something else. We of course respect that, but were surprised in a “dog friendly” hotel.

  Stayed here twice now as it's a halfway point on a long drive. The hotel is near the interstate and there are many good restaurants not too far away so for travelers, and our own needs, that worked out well. Staff especially on the second time were very helpful as well.

  Room was a great size but could use some updating and a really good cleaning. It worked for us on the road for 1 night with our pup. FYI - There are a lot of children and dogs at this hotel and it’s the biggest La Quinta we’ve stayed at.

  Hotel put us in the very last room by the exit in the back on the first floor so it was easy to get in and out without disturbing anyone. Got the job done and then some!

  Our room was not clean and smelled of urine. Many repairs needed in this room. Very disappointed because we have stayed at a Wyndham La Qunta that was wonderful. Not recommending this one at all.

  Very nice, clean room, plenty of space to accommodate dogs of any size. Front desk was very friendly. Only issue we had was the lack of blackout curtains, but other than that, no complaints :)

  Location was good for what I needed

  Everyone said great areas to walk dog. No, there wasn’t if you have a small dog because the grass areas way too high. All other areas said no dog zone. Not best place for my dog.

  Stayed here with our two Goldens on long road trip. Positives include very friendly staff and no pet fee. Plenty of space for dog walking. Very reasonably priced. Negatives are all dog rooms are on ground floor and people and dogs coming in very late made it hard for our dogs to settle. Could hear dogs in hallway and other rooms. Rooms are very weathered and need a refresh.

  Rates were great, we loved that there was no pet fee! The hotel was conveniently located near everything we needed. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. There were a couple well stocked poop stations which was much appreciated!

  I would give negative bones if possible. The room was dirty… the hallway carpet was filthy. We left after entering the room and drove another 2 hours and checked into a clean and excellent property where the reviews accurately reflected the property. Extremely disappointed.

  We are so happy we chose La Quinta to stay last night!! Beautiful room, very clean, wonderful breakfast, great bathroom and comfortable bed!! Our pets loved it too. Our heater/air conditioner didn’t work right but that the only negative. We are planning to stay here next year too.

  Decent Stay, Definitely Dog Friendly

  We had to wait an hour beyond check-in time for our room to get ready. When traveling with dogs, that's not ideal. The room was decent enough- there were some stray hairs on the bed linens and the floors weren't clean (we spilled some water and when we wiped it up, the towel was nasty and brown) but it did the trick for one night. Plenty of dogs around and good potty spots. The breakfast was good!

  Excellent hotel for pets and people. Great walking path that begins almost at the door of the hotel. Near good restaurants (but not walking distance). Clean, roomy, perfect for me and my two big (75 lb) dogs. I will definitely stay here next time I pass through Knoxville.

  Traveling with a pet we realize our options are limited and we therefore don’t expect luxury, but we do expect clean. After traveling all day & night we just wanted a good nights rest - kind of hard to do when you find what appears to be smeared bloody nose/snot on comforter. Floors are vinyl - not an issue & expected for pet-friendly room, but again, expect them to be clean. Husband went to wipe up some water the dog dripped on floor only to come up with a filth, black towel. Luckily our pooch had his bed to sleep on as I wouldn’t want him on that floor. Hairs in the bathroom. Should have read the reviews on this place more carefully. Clearly there is a housekeeping problem here. Generally not one to leave negative reviews, but that bedding was gross!!

  Perfect Stay & Walking Trail

  Our stay was great! Pet-friendly rooms had vinyl flooring which was good for our Newfie since she prefers cool floor to sleep on. The only con with that, is it increases some of the noise from the hall. We kept the fan on all night and that worked for us. The pet-friendly rooms have obviously seen a few claws and paws, so none of the finishes were pristine, but everything was very clean. This hotel also has a fantastic walking trail out front just past the gazebo. It’s not well lit though, so if you go at night, bring a flashlight. The staff were also super friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

  The room was dirty and smelled absolutely awful. I can tolerate quite a bit when it comes to hotels but this place was truly, truly awful. There were rips in the bed sheets and I found human hairs all over the bed after I pulled back the comforter. Did you change the sheets at all in between stays or did you simply re-make the bed and call it a day? Have you ever cleaned the bathroom in. My room? There were no blackout curtains either and after a 12 hour drive, it would have been nice to have a totally dark room to sleep in. Usually, La Quintas are wonderful places to stay when traveling with my dog and this has been the lone exception. Very disappointed!

  It was so nice to have somewhere to stay that welcomes two dogs with no pet fee! Plenty of green space to walk the dogs. I’m a light sleeper and usually don’t sleep well in hotels, but the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet and I slept great. Only concern was sticky floor tiles in the foyer and bathroom. I had to keep the door closed so my pup couldn’t go in and lick the floors.

  Lots of nice green lawn out from for doggie business. I didn’t see a bag dispenser but we should always bring our own, right? We heard some other dogs barking so we felt like we were in a nice down-to-earth place where people wouldn’t complain if Maggie talked a bit. Very nice!

  Stayed here one night with our Sheepdoodle and it was a great stay. Beds were comfortable and the AC worked great. They have a nice walking trail out front. Also had a full breakfast that was very good and good coffee.

  I know it’s a challenge for pet-friendly hotels to keep things clean and fresh, but this hotel could use some TLC. The pet area was basically a tiny park strip and there were tons of dogs staying there. The room smelled like urine and ammonia. Again, I know it’s tough, but having stayed at 3 other pet-friendly hotels along our journey, this was the least appealing. We slept fine, but any amount of “luxury” wasn’t part of the experience.

  Great place for one night on our cross country road trip

  Convenient, right off the highway but far enough off we didn’t hear road noise. Room on the first floor for easy in and outs with the dogs. Nice room, clean and updated. Free hot breakfast before we hit the road again. And only about 10 minutes from downtown Knoxville so we were able to check out Market Square in the few hours we had available.

  We had a dog-friendly room so I expected to see some things. Not rice in the bed and on top of the covers. Not makeup stains and marks all over the covers and hidden under the tucked corners. Only plus is that they had hot breakfast.

  Perfect stopover spot when traveling with your dogs. Lots of space & grassy area to walk them. Requested first floor and they were able to accommodate that which made it very convenient as well. Hotel itself is older so could use some updates, but for a quick stop was clean and doable.

  Could use restocking of poop bags. Warm breakfast was nice. No parking spots as numerous truckers park their 18 wheelers taking up strips of parking spots at a time. Fairly close to food options so that was nice.

  Great Location and 5 mile walking trail

  If you are traveling with dogs this place is great. The hotel is right next to a city maintained 5 mile walking trail. After 9 hours in the car we needed this trail and then before we left for the morning it was great to get in a long walk. The hotel was clean and they served a hot breakfast that wasn't bad. It was a little noisy with people and other dogs, overall great!! We are staying again on the trip back.

  Just ok. Grass was very long and unkept. Breakfast food under cooked. Headboard wasn't cleaned very well, made us wonder about other areas.
  Way over priced considering everything.
  We were so tired from our travels, so the bed was comfortable, nice shower, and so very grateful that our fur-babies were welcomed (without the additional fees).
  Just expected better based on other La Quintas we've stayed at.

  Adequate room, great breakfast offering

  We arrived here after several hours of driving in severe rain storms and the place was hopping. The room was adequate, nothing fancy and located on the first floor. My pup has never been in a hotel before so every noise was a distraction, but I found some good residential area behind the hotel and across the street to walk him. They provided individual brown bags for breakfast with hot bagel sandwiches and hash browns; a real upgrade from the typical offerings.

  Hotel was clean, room is good. Had tile floors versus carpet (at least our room on the 2nd floor did) so recommend you bring pet bed or something to lay on. Grab and go breakfast bar in the morning...yogurt, orange juice, and granola bars. Little green strip in the back for pet relief. Pet relief stations were right by the hotel doors and stocked! Worked out great for us!

  The room was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable but I personally don't care for the tile floors. Whenever my big dog walked around during the night, her nails clicking on the floor woke me. Pretty basic, nothing to complain or rave about. No additional pet fee.

  Two different nights, both rooms were clean and smoke free, good beds and pillows. Enough green aera to walk dogs

  Great Place !!!

  We spend the night here with our dogs several times a year. At this time this La Quinta still takes big dogs. Sadly, some of the others have stopped doing so.

  Convenient but not clean

  The location was great, but there was dog hair all over the carpet like it hadn’t been vacuumed recently and dirt on the hard surfaces.

  Comfortable Room

  The room and bed was comfortable, however the power went out in the entire building for 3 hours. The establishment never acknowledged that or offered any compensation.

  Good human breakfast !

  Most places are only offer to go bag breakfast if any breakfast all during these COVID days. Breakfast here was actual an hot breakfast with eggs, sausage , bacon, biscuits and gravy! Lots of other friendly pet owners saying hello to one another

  Nice experience

  Great location. Big room with lots of space. Clean but some disinfectant smell. A can opener for dog food would have been helpful...had to try 2 convenience stores to find one when mine was broken.

  Lots of space to walk dog

  Older hotel. I’ve stayed here a couple of times with my dachshund. The room was clean and quiet. The staff very friendly. Lots of great space to walk my dog! Definitely recommend.

  Plenty of dog bags, friendly staff, walking distance to two pet friendly patios at local restaurants (Tacos 4 Life and Purple Cow).

  easy on easy off

  This hotel was an easy on easy off the highway. It was incredibly clean. The parking lot was well lit. I even felt comfortable enough to run with my dogs in the parking lot after a long day's drive. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was plentiful and hot. There was a variety of foods to choose from to fit the needs of all travelers. I will definitely use this hotel again on my travels.

  Decent Place

  We’ve stayed at this La Quinta outside of Knoxville three times in the past year for two reasons; 1) it’s location on our route to and from Miami, FL and 2) we can bring our golden doodle, Mullie. The hotel is getting a little tired, chips in the sink, tub and furniture but the room is always clean. The reception staff are generally not super friendly and on our last time through gave us bad information. The gentleman who checked us in told us that breakfast stopped serving at 9:00 so we raced down before it closed only to learn it closed at 9:30. We will probably stay again for the two reasons mentioned previously.

  Great overnight stay

  We stayed here on our way back from Florida. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was great! Very happy with this dog friendly hotel.

  Clean, friendly, fast check in. Room was updated. No smells, clean. Very good pet friendly hotel. The other guests in our area were loud way late into the night, causing my dog to bark. Driving for 12 hours and not being able to sleep because of others sucked.

  This is the nicest, very dog friendly, motel that we ever stayed in! Very easy to find, right off the interstate. Good breakfast, too!

  Best La Quinta so far

  This is a great place to stay! Lots of grass, very private, & the poop bag dispenser was freshly filled and one was placed at every door. We stayed on New Years Eve because we were on a cross country holiday road trip. The bed were comfy, the room was very clean, staff was friendly, & the thermostat actually worked. We would definitely stay here again.

  Perfect room

  Our room was large which is much better when traveling with a large dog. The hotel has a walking trail right outside the front door. Everything was clean. and attractive.

  Clean, good location, great customer service

  Nice La Quinta. good location near places to eat and facility was clean. No pet fee!!! Did drive to Lakefront Park a few miles towards the river to run our pup. Great customer service at check in. Nice breakfast with standard La Quinta choices.

  First Floor Access

  We had a first floor room. It wasn’t far from the door out to the car. Good staff. Good coffee. No pet fees. Close to the freeway. Reasonable. I did not take the time to find the dog walking area. There was grass and poo bags. All good.

  Decent Hotel with Clean Accomodations

  Stayed overnight with 2 cats. The rooms were clean, the area was quiet, and the staff was attentive and polite. It's an older hotel, but well maintained. Will stay there again if in the area.

  Excellent Refuge From No AC

  Our AC went out unexpectedly and it was nice to have such a welcoming place to go with our two hounds. This hotel welcomes large dogs which was nice. We were also pleased with the fact the put us near an exit door which made it super easy to walk our dogs. There is a great trail near the hotel. There were at least 4 other dogs staying at the hotel the same time as us which was nice. It didn't make us feel so out of place. All of the staff we encountered were receptive to the animals. I would definitely recommend.

  Will Be Back

  My husband, labradoodle and I stopped at La Quinta at the end of our first day of our cross country road trip. This was the first time we have taken our doodle to a hotel for an overnight and I was thrilled that they gave us a room that was right near a side entrance so we could quickly and easily take him out to potty. In addition, there is a really nice walking trail attached to the hotel which enabled me to take the doodle for a long walk to tire him out before the long car ride ahead. Continental breakfast was also very good!

  great hotel

  This hotel was perfect for my family and 2 dogs! There was plenty of grass areas with poop bags available for potty time. Rooms are large enough for 2 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs. Room also has fridge and microwave which was a huge bonus!! We will definitely stay here again when we visit Knoxville again.

  What a relief!

  After our horrible experience in a different hotel last night and driving 12 hrs today, arriving here is such a relief. The rooms and clean and comfy, the staff is nice, and we will get some good sleep tonight. I will definitely stay here again.

  Excellent!

  From the moment I walked in the front door it was a pleasant place to stay. Our two bulldogs were welcomed with open arms (rubs and back scratches) and no extra charges! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, rooms were clean and trendy, breakfast was your typical hot continental breakfast. We didn't use any other facilities such as the weight room or pool but they both looked nice. The beds were comfortable too and that's always a plus when you're away from home!
