Schlosshotel Althörnitz with its park and castle pond, is located less than one mile from the Czech border, two miles from the Polish border, and 65 miles from Dresden Airport. Built in 1654, the castle was a private home for over 300 years. Hoernitz is situated in the multicultural triangle formed by German Saxony, Czech Bohemia, and Polish Silesia and reflects the cultural and historic influences of the old Austrian Hapsburg Empire. The hotel's location is three miles from the city of Zittauer and the Zittauer Carpet Museum, 25 miles from Goerlitz, 50 miles from Dresden, and 160 miles from Berlin.
