Description
Situated a few steps from the two leaning towers, Hotel Corona d'Oro was the residence of the Azzoguidi Noble family in the XIV century of this period. It still maintains many architectural elements such as the wooden portico in the inner courtyard or the recessed block panel ceilings of some rooms and the meeting room. The hall and the staircase are exquisitely done in art nouveau style, with colored stuccoes and columns, which reflect the merry atmosphere of that period. In 2004, the hotel was completely renovated and now it offers modern comforts combined with the atmosphere of the past. It features 40 rooms with air-conditioning, minibar, satellite TV, safe, a hairdryer, an Internet connection, a lift, a bar, generous buffet breakfast, luggage storage, three meeting rooms, and parking.
