House RRH
Summary:
As profiled in Dwell, Rock Reach House is a modern steel house perched amidst a pristine High Desert setting replete with enormous weathered boulders — along with ancient juniper, pinón and desert oak trees. It is the perfect property for couples, a small family, or anyone who wants to decompress in style and serenity.
The Space:
Rock Reach House sits at just over 4,000 feet above sea level on a 2.5-acre parcel of land. It’s set in the remarkable private community of Rock Reach within the Town of Yucca Valley in the Mojave Desert. The home has become one of the most sought-after properties in the High Desert vacation rental market.
The house was built in 2009 as the first prototype home using systems from Blue Sky Building Systems. It is framed with mostly light-gauge galvanized steel elements that were fabricated off site and rapidly bolted together on site. The shell of the house went up in five days and the house was complete in eight weeks. The only wood in the entire house is in the cabinets and the interior doors.
Highlights include:
★ Patio with Jacuzzi + outdoor fireplace
★ Cowboy tub style pool (off during winter months)
★ 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom
★ Local, organic shower products from The Body Deli

** Cleaning Protocols ***
As the only professional management company in the area, we have always maintained exceptional cleaning standards. We pay above the living wage standards; 100% of your cleaning fee is paid to the cleaners (i.e. no profit to us) and we insist on a professional level of cleaning between guests. We love the High Desert for a lot of reasons - including the open spaces, lack of crowds, and dry weather that we believe make it a safe place to visit.
Guest Access:
You will have the entire house to yourself.
The Neighborhood:
The 320-acre private community of Rock Reach is technically in the Town of Yucca Valley, but it feels like the middle of Joshua Tree National Park – without the crowds. Most of the landscape is an untouched wonderland of weathered boulders, pinon pines, desert oak and juniper trees.
Rock Reach provides the perfect blend of pristine desert and easy access to amenities in town. The West Entrance of Joshua Tree National Park is a 20-minute drive away, and the shops, restaurants, and things to do in Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree Village.
