Windsong Cottage is a great affordable vacation property for families and couples. Clean, cozy, 2 bedroom beach-style cottage accommodation with a large pet friendly fenced yard (will accommodate smaller dogs) and large covered deck with natural gas barbecue, in a superb central location. Windsong Cottage is just a stroll to the beautiful Lake Okanagan Beach, no need to find a parking spot at the beach and just steps back home for lunch.
Extended guest stays are available for the non prime-time fall, winter & spring. Nightly discounts applied.
No need for a car, a perfect location, close to many amenities and all of Penticton’s festival events, parades, triathlons, wine festivals and all the summer fun – perfect location for the entire family! This is a region that truly has something for everyone.
Easy walking distance to downtown year-round shopping, many local restaurants and spectacular craft breweries. Colorful Front Street features various artisan and unique gift stores, The Dream Café restaurant and music venue and organic vegetarian cuisine at the Wild Scallion. Check out Slackwater Brewing, occupying two levels, it’s Penticton’s newest downtown craft brewery & restaurant featuring local food and roof top patio dining.
Walk to Peachfest family festival a 5 day long event featuring parades, live music, entertainment, carnival rides and delicious food or downtown where you can buy fresh produce at the Penticton’s Main Street Farmers’ Market every Saturday in the summer.
In the evening, stroll the Okanagan Lake Sunset Strip and stop in at Lickity Splitz Ice Cream shop featuring a total of 48 hard ice cream flavors, along with milkshakes and screamers (soft ice cream layered with slush).
Close by is The Trade and Convention Center and the Community Centre which offers many activities, including an arena, gym and pool. Also close is the internationally known Okanagan Hockey Training Centre School (within the South Okanagan Events Centre).
Take in a show at The South Okanagan Events Center, the Okanagan’s premier sports and entertainment venue or enjoy drifting lazily down the River Channel, on an inner tube, again within walking distance.
A short walk away are several Okanagan Lake beaches, Lakeside Gyro Beach Park, bicycle and boat rentals and Loco Landing a Mini Golf and Adventure Park.
Also, enjoy easy access to Naramata Bench or Bottleneck Drive. .
Penticton is widely known for its many wineries where wine enthusiasts can enjoy the areas many renowned orchards and vineyards. Visit the BC VQA Wine Information Centre which is the center of BC wine knowledge that comes from living in the middle of wine country. The center offers a huge selection of BC VQA wines.
Penticton provides opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy many activities such as, golfing, hiking, biking, swimming, rock climbing, fishing, camping, kayaking, boating, water skiing and during the winter months top-notch ski hills.
The South Okanagan golf season begins in March or April, weather dependent, and sometimes goes as late as November. Practice your swing at the Penticton Golf and Country Club an 18-hole, par 70 championship course, with 5,618 yards.
A multitude of hiking and cycling trails let visitors explore the town, discover bird habitat, see historic sites like the Trout Creek Bridge on the Kettle Valley Railway, Myra Canyon and Skaha Bluffs.
Head to the majestic Skaha Bluffs for some sensational rock climbing and take in the 360-degree views from the summit of Giant's Head or Munson Mountains.
The highlands of the Thompson Plateau offer small lakes which are ideal for trout fishing.
Hoodoo Adventures offers kayak tours and trips in the Okanagan. Penticton Boat rentals offers water sports equipment rental service.
Take in Apex mountain where you can ski on the training ground of the Canadian Ski Team, or Nickel Plate Nordic Center for world class skiing & panoramic views as far as the coast.

Cleaning Fee - nominal rates added as required
Pet Fee - Nominal pet fee will be added. With prior approval, small, lap dogs (30 lbs and under) are allowed if clean and well behaved (Sorry, no cats and no aggressive breeds please). All City Bylaws, house rules for dog guidelines and pertinent rental agreement policies in place.
As of October 1, 2018, all short-term rental stays in British Columbia are subject to the 8% Provincial Sales Tax (PST), a 3% Municipal Regional District Tax (MRDT), and a 5% GST.
Security: USE OF SECURITY CAMERAS: Renters understand and accept that the property is protected with 2 outside security cameras. There is one camera at the front entrance, over-looking the front sidewalk and yard and one camera on the rear deck over-looking the rear entrance, side yard and driveway These cameras are used to protect the property from potential break-ins and deter theft. There are NO cameras inside the living quarters.

No Smoking/No Drugs or Parties- Immediate eviction without refund. As a responsible Penticton VRBO property owner we have to respectfully decline those wishing to party. We cater to families, couples, snow-birds, athletes and business people.
Please treat the items for use with respect and leave them in the same condition (beach gear must be rinsed - no sand in cottage please).
Missing items/linens will be charged to damage deposit.
Please be courteous and respectful of our neighbors and keep noise levels low after 10 pm. Windsong Cottage is located among family homes and as such all city bylaws are strictly enforced. Quiet time as per Penticton City Bylaws is 10:00 pm - 07:00 am.
