We originally booked the La Quinta on Thomas Rd but moved to this I-10 west location. Thomas Rd is a run-down property with all sorts of sketchy characters hanging around, graffiti and urine in the stairwells, very limited dog relief areas. We only stayed there long enough to book another hotel and it ended up being this one. This is a very nice, newly renovated property. There’s a small dedicated grassy location in the back for doggie business and a little neighborhood nearby for a longer walk. We stayed two nights and they only charged the pet fee for one night. Breakfast included hot food choices. Very competent front desk staff. Laundry services also available.

Pros - Clean, friendly, we all slept well. Cons - very small pet relief area. Hotel is on a major thoroughfare with little area to walk a large dog. Broken glass along side all of the sidewalks making it unsafe to walk our pup in hopes that he could work up a bowel movement. We found a quieter neighborhood nearby to walk him longer.

Before you let your cats out of their carriers blockade the space behind the bed because it's very easy for cats or small dogs to wedge themselves under the bed. Room was clean, staff was nice, but we spent a fair bit of time to get our cats back in their carriers in the morning.

This hotel was nice with polite staff. Dropped bone rating due to very restricted green area for dogs (we brought 2 large German Shepherds): there was a small patch of grass that had sprinklers running for most the morning, which made it unusable.

They don't accept credit cards from certain providers, and they won't tell you about this until you get there. Do they accept cards from your provider? Good luck! I drove EIGHT hours (from LA) and expected this hotel to be our relief. Upon our arrival, I was informed that they don't accept deposits from Chime (and a list of other banks)!! Amazing! It's a VISA like any other. This is a dishonest business practice because at that point, it's 9 pm, and I'm low on options and energy to price shop competitors. If they want to institute this policy, they need to be upfront about it! They should have called me the second they received payment and canceled the reservation so I could book an alternative.

Hotel was very clean. Staff was nice. Breakfast was good (above par for COVID grab and go). Our room was unusual with 2 rooms. No living room and really small rooms and beds. Our reservation was lost after making it on BringFido. Neighborhood is sketchy, though. We made sure to park under a light in parking lot. I’d give it one star except it was clean and staff was friendly.
