  Not an optimal stay

  Pros: the area was beautiful, the room was clean, all employees were very polite and kind. Cons: We were placed on the 3rd floor, access to outside was either down a set of grated stairs (spoiler: the dog was not a fan), or down a long hallway, down an elevator, and through the main lobby. Parking was a nightmare, the parking lot design is very poorly laid out. There was an event at the hotel that took up all of the parking on our second night, and people were arguing over who had the right of way of the single lane/dual direction road that went most of the way around the hotel right outside our window all night. Despite our fridge sounding like a diesel engine, we could still hear every moment of the drunken "fooling around" in the room next door. I reached out to the hotel to talk about these matters but they haven’t contacted me back.

  Great location

  Easy first floor access for dog. Nice to have restaurant on site. Clean & quiet although rooms are small.

  Just ok

  The hotel is renovated but rather cheap. Bed was old as well as the bathroom. However, there is a lot of green space to walk your dog at the edge of the lake.

  An outstanding hotel

  My wife and I along with our dog recently spent several days at this great hotel. We were given a room with quick access to our car and there was a large green space by a lake to walk the pooch. To top it off, the location of the hotel is close to Point Pleasant Park, probably the best off leash dog park you'll ever visit.

  “No pet fee”

  Stayed there with our dog. Room was nice, had a lake view, had to walk around the building to find grass but didn’t have to use an elevator. Your room is in a pet friendly area of the hotel, so there are other dogs barking. The only thing I would note is there is no pet fee, however the pet friendly rooms are more expensive than the other standard rooms.

  There are designated dog rooms which are your typical standard rooms but there are great green areas to walk around and get some fresh air. Plus a bonus is that the Lakeside Bar and Grill has great food for your human companions! No need for elevators for getting into or out of my room so I’m quickly outside when I need to go!
