Very friendly staff. Extremely clean. There is no pet relief area at the hotel. You have to walk a couple blocks to get there - again disappointing as it was a total downpour for a whole day. I would stay again but would like to know these things up front.

Perfect for pets! Our 60 lb dog was highly welcomed by every staff member we interacted with. They provided dog bowls for us and allowed her to stay in the room while we were out. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay with our two dogs. Dogs were welcomed and they aren’t always well behaved. Being a city though our suburban dogs didn’t have any grass and we’re very confused about where to go.

This hotel is a little pricey, but you will not be disappointed with the accommodations for your pet. There is really no food service in the hotel, but there is every kind of food you can imagine within a 5 minute walk. You will have to walk a couple of blocks to find a park for walking pets, but the neighborhood is extremely pet friendly, and it is in the process of being tastefully rehabilitated. The hotel facilities are sparkling clean, the staff-- including the concierge and all the desk personnel-- is friendly, knowledgeable, and dedicated to making your stay enjoyable. Speaking for my wife and me, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend the facility without reservation.

Last minute reservation (2 hours out) coming through DC on a trip. Decor- not your usual Hilton/Marriott decor. Bathroom amazing. The biggest tv we have seen in a hotel (60 some inch). Very friendly check in and because they were short staffed, the maintenance guy stepped in to take our luggage and valet park our car. He was amazing… loved his job and so welcoming. Everyone loved seeing our dog (staff and guests). Water bowl and treat bowl in entrance of hotel. Walking distance to White House. Great restaurants close by (Logan Tavern for dinner and The Commissary for breakfast). Whole Foods close by too. Just a cool hotel with great service that loves dogs!

What a great first trip with my pandemic puppy Trooper. From the moment we arrived, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Trooper’s a big guy, but sometimes skittish with strangers, so I was really pleased at how he reacted to everything. Yummy treats awaited him when we entered and he was welcome throughout the hotel, which meant I could get a cup of coffee without having to leave him in the room.
Definitely recommend the Viceroy if you are traveling with a big dog. - LoriDec 22, 2020Great location. Great hotel
We highly recommend The Viceroy -Washington DC. It is beautiful hotel and we had a lovely stay. Our lab pup was able to stay in the room while we went to dinner. We just left our phone number with the front desk. Parking was a little pricey but very secure so we didn’t mind. No complaints at all!

Clean hotel, loved that the floors were not carpeted, only a rug in the room. Super cute, very modern and unique. Very friendly staff and lots of areas to walk around. Close to so many restaurants.

We rectory stayed here with our golden retriever and they went above and belying. I forgot my dogs bowls and they were so kind to supply stainless steel bowls for her during our stay. We will be coming back!

This hotel isn't the cheapest around, but it's a luxurious place and our dog felt like he belonged there. The hotel is trendy with amenities including comfy bath robes and a huge marble shower in our king-bed room. The staff is very sweet. No dog treats or anything like that is offered, which is fine with us. High end hotel but we showed up in non-business-attire and felt completely welcome.
