  Ok for a night

  Location was right downtown. Room was decent, but when requested extra blanket they said they didn’t have any extra for us. We were given a room on first floor, which was nice for the pup however the hotel is not fenced in and random knocking on door in the middle of the night by homeless and drunk people. We usually love Best Western hotels, but this one was below expectations.

  Good for the price

  We were very happy with everything here but the food at breakfast. The eggs were truly disgusting!! Other than that, we would stay there again.

  Great location

  Location, location, location! Perfect place to stay and walk around River Rd and City park. Didn’t like having to pay $30 a day for parking at the hotel but it is what it is.

  Good location in center of town

  Clean room, and a full breakfast. Pet fee a bit high and they charge $30 a day parking fee for each vehicle. We were towing a utility trailer and had to pay for that also. Parking lots are small. They have a overflow lot across street but no guarantee of getting a space.

  Clean and welcoming

  Hotel and rooms very clean, staff very welcoming. Everything was updated, modern decor. Breakfast was plentiful and good. Location was fantastic, in Savannah’s historical district. River walk, beautiful parks and city market were all an easy walk. Parking fee, but what I would expect in a city. Would definitely stay again!

  Everything about the Best Western works well. Good location in Historic Savannah, very close to the river front. Nice rooms and bathrooms. Good value for Savannah.

  Good location for tourists visiting. Great breakfast included. Limited grassy areas for dogs to relieve themselves nearby, but lots of parks to walk to.

  Room was clean and quiet considering it was 1st floor at a busy corner; quiet enough our pups weren’t on alert, we all got to sleep well.

  New Year’s Eve

  Check-in and location were great. My only concern is that being in a city, there were very little grassy areas for a quick bathroom walk. Grassy areas were a ways away.

  Excellent location

  One step away from the river but I gave it 4 because in a room for 4 people, they only put 2 towels. According to them to save water. But every time you use it you have to take the dirty towel to the lobby because the employees don't give it to you. And then return to the room with your clean towel. So every time you want to bathe with a clean towel. I did not like.

  Great pet friendly hotel

  The hotel is close to all the historical sites and the riverfront. Staff was friendly, the room was clean and spacious. It also included free parking and breakfast which is a plus when staying to Savannah. Highly recommended.

  Great location but pricy

  Savannah is a pay for parking city. You will have to pay for parking at this hotel, on the street or in a garage if you bring your car. The hotel lets you keep your car in their lot until 3pm on the day you check out. I was happy about that; we used the extra time to explore the riverwalk after only staying one night. There is no elevator at the hotel, but our room was on the first floor. I assume the price was due to the location in the historic district and the proximity to the river. Otherwise it was overpriced for this otherwise standard motel.

  Nice staff, area deteriorating

  Took about 2 hours to get towels. They accommodated us with a first floor hotel for our dog. Breakfast very good, but hotel was generally damp and area has gotten dirty and run down.

  Motel is located within the historic district of Savannah, short walk to river and restaurants. Very clean motel and wonderful staff.

  Best Western Savannah Historic District

  Stayed in January 2022 as a side trip on the way to Florida as we’ve never been to Savannah. I’m not sure how to fairly evaluate so I will just let you make your own decision. Hotel is nothing fancy but easy, off street parking. Pet rooms are on the first floor but they are carpeted (not sure why as totally insanitary!). There were big notices about being charged for any pet damage so I immediately reported a huge stain on carpet upon entering room so not be charged for it. Room was clean minus stain. Location ideal - river walk right behind hotel and very dog friendly. We were able to walk everywhere to explore Savannah.

  Our room was at the very end, but right where the metal steps to second level was so my dog heard every noise!! At 1:30 in the morning there was some sort of domestic dispute or altercation that got somewhat frightening as it then moved to right in from of my door. Front desk was called and said their security was handling and police were called making it even more nerve racking! Survived a sleepless night. They called around 3:30 to tell me it was resolved when I was just settling back to sleep. Breakfast was fantastic with a good variety. No coffee or tea in room but always available in breakfast area which was fine but inconvenient as it was a cold miserable day.

  Lived up to our expectations!

  We read other reviews, so kinda understood you have to pay extra for parking. This hotel is older and it shows but it was clean and to our satisfaction and with a roomy bathroom. What we loved about this hotel is that it is RIGHT THERE, just a stairs distance to the waterfront. At one point, while dining at the Tequila Restaurant (Great drinks and out door seating for my fur baby!) I realized, I had forgotten my phone in the hotel room and I wanted to text my friend. So my dear hubby says to me, "No problem, we'll place our orders and I will walk back to the hotel and get it for you". He was quick and back before our order arrived.

  Best Western was pricier than the place we used to stay (just outside of Savannah, in Port Wentworth) but so worth it, to be right there in the historic district of Savannah, to stroll along the waterside, unwind and actually enjoy ourselves after a long drive. Our pooch enjoyed the stroll along the water, as opposed to the typical, walk across the parking lot, to a dubious dog relieving area that can often be littered with messes. They even had a dog relieving area right there along the waterfront, complete with turf and sprinklers. I expect this is going to be our new evening layover when we are traveling up and down I-95. Thank you BringFido for all you do!! BIG LOVE!! :-)

  Great Location

  Can’t complain, good location but...lots of dogs so if you have a fisty little dog, it can be daunting. Great overnight pit stop.

  Horrible experience

  I forgot clothes They Found it and they throw it in the garbage unprofessional no response from general manager I tried to contact them several times.

  It was ok.

  Good location. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Poor parking - you have to pay an additional fee of 22 dollars a night for, and you’re lucky to get a spot. Room smelled like smoke even though it was non smoking.

  Great Location!

  I and my dog stayed here for 2 nights in Feb 2018. I took him with me, so no issue with him being left in the room. Room was clean and hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Will definitely come back again!
