Featuring two separate homes, an in-ground pool with a barbecue pavilion, and a private pond, this estate tops the list of high-end vacation rentals in Western North Carolina. Situated on a picture-perfect, six-acre property at the head of a valley, just below where the rocky creek rushes down the mountain, Cool Stream Lodge offers a compelling contrast of history and modern luxury. The impressive main home is anchored by a hand-hewn log cabin that has occupied the land since the early 1800's. With extensive renovations, the living space grew outward from the original cabin, creating a collaboration of rooms both cozy, with reclaimed wormy chestnut paneling, native stone, and chinked logs, and at the same time expansive, with vaulted ceilings, spacious gathering areas, and delightfully private sleeping quarters. The chef in your group will love the gourmet kitchen with granite counters, custom cabinetry, a gas range, and an adjoining living area, and everyone will love the perfect space for celebrating!
A separate modern log cabin also shares the estate, offering excellent accommodations for friends and family. With its own hot tub and private back deck, the cabin provides room to spread out and includes a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room, and two spacious bedrooms. The best part? Incredible mountain views from the covered front porch, where you'll want to pull up a rocking chair and pass the day with good conversation.
When you stay at Cool Stream Lodge, new opportunities for adventure abound (but you might never want to leave the pool area!). Wake up to morning mist on the pond and wildlife sightings around the water's edge. Take a long walk down a country road, get together with the group for games in the field, and cool off with an afternoon swim. • Approaching the main entrance to Cool Stream Lodge, please note that there is no vehicle access over the bridge. Attempting to drive over the bridge may result in damage to property or vehicle.
• Travel Insurance Highly Recommended
We strongly recommend CSA Travel Insurance to protect your reservation against unexpected events such as inclement weather, medical emergencies, or travel delays.
This Is a Pet-Friendly Property -- Please Read this Important Information!
We love our furry friends! If you'll be bringing your dog(s) with you, use the "Personal Message" box when making your reservation to tell us how many (max. 2 dogs) and their weight.
• For any reservation with pets, please note that only dogs are allowed. Your reservation requires a pet fee of $200 per dog. A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed on your reservation.
• Note that the pet fee will not be included in your total rental amount. Your payment is due directly to Carolina Mornings Vacation Rentals.
• A Vacation Coordinator from Carolina Mornings Vacation Rentals will contact you within 72 hours of acceptance of your booking to collect the pet fee.
• Failure to pay the pet fee may result in cancellation of your reservation.
• The pet fee is required; undeclared pets are subject to a penalty fine per the rental agreement terms.
• The pet policies for this vacation rental, which can be found on the last page of your rental agreement, should be reviewed PRIOR TO BOOKING.

This reservation includes a non-refundable damage waiver policy. If you would prefer to use a refundable security deposit, please contact our office to provide a check for the security deposit and we will refund the damage waiver. Thank you!
