We drove 12 miles one way out of our way to go to Colby, Ks Quality Inn based on photos and comments. We drove 840 miles that day and we’re tired. The hotel is in a mess being renovated. It stinks, something on the floor of our room? Dried dog diarrhea or tar? I wasn’t going to investigate it further. I reported it. Photos showed a nice breakfast in the morning and nothing was offered. Manager said they aren’t offering food. It was one reason why we chose this motel.

Almost not worth writing about. All I can say is stay somewhere else.

Room was good for dogs with vinyl tile floor but site needs to be better maintained. Dog rest area had considerable trash including sharp can lids. Side Entry door was broken and unlocked. Owner claimed to have cameras but was peeking around corner to make certain that I only had the one dog that I claimed (I did).

It is obvious that ownership is working toward creating a nice overnight stay for guests, however at this time there is quite a bit of work to be done. The room was clean overall, however there were several things in the room that did not work properly. while the rooms have interior doors, the exterior doors are not locked at night so anybody can enter the facility. The owners are nice and hospitable.
