  Great staff

  Even though this place gets a bit beat up from years of wear I would stay again. There was a great big grassy area in front to take my dog. The walking path in front made for a nice early morning walk. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The biggest downfall is you have to use the elevator or stairs to get to the room. So being on the third floor I used the stairs to avoid her running into other dog owners. She just wants to play then.

  Great stay

  We had the opportunity to stay here for two weeks. With the exception of one day of rain with the tropical storm, our stay was excellent. The staff goes above and beyond/especially Warren and Brandi. I have a little dog, but I did see dogs of all sizes. There is a nice area for the dogs to relieve themselves in the front that supplies poop bags. Wonderful sundeck with oceanfront access for our puppies to relax. We have stayed at multiple places up and down the east coast from NJ to Hilton head. This may be one of our favorites.

  Very dog friendly staff and facility

  Everyone working here greeted my dog in a friendly manner. They had treats at check-in. There is a large yard area for dog walking, equipped with a receptacle for droppings. My pup and I really enjoyed our stay, and plan to return.

  Great location awesome staff

  Perfect fit for us. The room smelled like urine a bit, but I can’t fault a hotel that welcomes pets. Not everyone’s pets behave. Staff was the absolute best and so friendly!

  Love our stay. Everything was cleaned perfect. Covid was observed. Everyone wore masks, clean beautiful.

  Beautiful Location

  We wanted to wake up to a beautiful sunrise and the room was perfect for a gorgeous view. The room was average but clean and acceptable. The staff was very nice.

  Overnight Stay

  There is an area right out front for a bathroom area. Dogs are not allowed to be left in the room alone. Dogs can only go on the beach at certain times of the year. Room with others that had dogs were on the 3rd floor.

  Location was great

  However, the front staff did not wear masks at all times, placed us on the first floor because we had a dog, which although the view was great, smelled awful a combo of mildew and cigarettes

  I cannot give a high enough review. The staff was outstanding, they went above and beyond to answer questions before and during my stay, and provide assistance for a variety of things during my stay.

  I need a "no bone" review option!

  We wanted to make a quick overnight at the beach and had to find somewhere we could take our Westies. The Outer Banks is historically a difficult place to find pet-friendly hotes, and unfortunately, "pet-friendly" usually means "filthy and substandard in general." This hotel is the epitome of that. Check-in took forever, I thought they were going to ask for fingerprints! and while the one of the clerks was pleasant, the other was officious and seemed to be the "boss." The bill for two nights--we had thought to stay another--was over $300, although the nights together were less than $100 a night. Pet fees and other fees evidently brought it up so high, and the "nice" clerk offered to waive the $50 per pet fees. We stood there and discussed the dogs, both of them, but when the "officious" clerk saw my husband later walking them, she said "Oh, I didn't know you had two dogs," as if she regretted not being able to charge for both.

  Now to the room: Filthy. Depressing. Nowhere to sit. No desk chair so we could use our laptop. Hideous curtains. MISERABLE beds. The carpeting was shredded along the edge, as if some bored dog had been chewing at it. The tub was nasty and took forever to drain. When is the last time this place was renovated? It's been there a long time, with no changes. Ah, but we were on the "dog floor." Why should they bother? This place is an insult to pet owners everywhere, if not to human beings in general. The ocean view is not worth it, and for me, that is saying a great deal. We checked out the following morning and took ourselves elsewhere. Ick.
