The staff was wonderful!

I stayed with my 2 small dogs while driving cross country. The room was perfect size for us. It was very clean and no bugs!! That is always a fear of mine. Yes there are gravel areas where your pups will have to potty but this is normal for the southwest. I lived in Vegas for 14 years so my dogs were fine with the gravel. My car was jam packed because we are moving and the car was not messed with at all. I felt totally safe taking my pups out at night and before sunrise. The staff were beyond friendly and it was so nice to talk with them or ask for help. Very friendly place and I highly recommend.

The hotel was close the interstate. Room was clean but dated. We were at the end of a hall on the lower level which turned out to be designated a handicap room. Limited space to put our toiletries, etc. There was no carpet, which I prefer, but Gus (the dog) thought the flooring was too slippery. We had to put towels down so he would walk on the floors. Staff was very nice. They told us they were going thru a remodel. No designated relief area for dogs; that would be a nice option.

I wasn't sure what was "micro" about a "Microtel" but the room was small - not so small I'd call it "micro" but on the smaller side. The room was clean, the bathroom and shower were clean and in good shape. For a pitstop on a road trip it was plenty. There was a mini fridge in the room (turned all the way down - froze my carrots). The only thing that was lacking was any sort of rack or hooks for hanging clothes or coats. There was one sort of desk/counter surface, and one chair, and I hung my coat on the back of the chair. That part was odd. It seems like the sort of thing you see in pretty much every hotel or motel room. Not the worst, just strange. Had two dogs with me, and they were fine - no carpet in the room (good) - and not a lot of noise outside or in the hallway.
