Staff were courteous but the condition overall is pretty bad. Landscaping is completely dead, carpets and floors were dirty. Hole in bathroom ceiling. Asked for extra blankets, they didn’t have any. Kids enjoyed pool but we couldn’t stay long due to all the smokers, mostly off-duty staff. Won’t stay again, will go back to Comfort Inn on the other side of interstate 10.

The hotel was dirty and in need of a major renovation. In our first room the a/c was not working, not enough towels, the bathroom floor looked dirty or maybe it was just old. Plus, the room looked like it has not been used in a long time.

Would be rated zero but lowest I can go is 1. Where do I begin? The room was definitely not clean on any level; there were hand prints all over mirrors, the bathtub was lined with dirt from probably several visitors, the sink counter had crumbs on it, there were hairs on and in the toilet still, and worst of all the entire room had this absolutely just unavoidable stench of pee.
We asked to change rooms but somehow they were booked up for the weekend? Every time our neighbors opened their door the stench of pee wafted from their room as well so I fear a room change wouldn’t have mattered much. They didn’t take much off the bill for all of this either. They had gravel for me to walk my pup in which was also littered with trash and what appeared to be paraphernalia for smoking crack, so wasn’t so happy about walking my dog here even. Left with luggage smelling like pee. Overall will pay more for something else next time.

Great location for a quick night stop. Conveniently located next to interstate, restaurants, and fuel.

Room was marginally clean. Power went out for six hours due to a thunderstorm. That was totally out of the hotel’s control but there was no communication to guests. There was no power, no a/c, and no Internet … and no reduction in the bill. Website states there is a free breakfast, and I realize COVID has affected services, but this hotel didn’t even make an attempt. The only thing out was bad coffee. Other places at least have a bagged breakfast with a juice and muffin.

Unfortunately our stay lasted about 20 minutes. The room had definitely not been cleaned. Noted in bathroom remnants of prior guest. We returned the key card, explained to clerk of our concerns. This during a pandemic. We found a different hotel much to our liking. I believe this might be a systemic problem of this hotel versus whole chain.

Older dated rooms, but very clean so no worries. Plenty of easy access to grassy area for the dogs. Hotel now under new management so there is now a $10 fee for pets.

Nice room for the price. Nice staff and building. Only small complaint(just because of dog potty breaks at night) grass is in the front of the building but not the back area.

The courtyard is completely enclosed grassy area with pet relief supply station available. Unfortunately not all guests cleaned up after their pets, which really irritates me...there is no excuse for it. This is not a reflection on the hotel, which was safe and well managed.

Terrible. First attempt at a room they considered clean knocked us in the face with rotten trash smell. Second attempt at a room the AC was not working properly, it was 97 degrees outside and maintenance couldn’t do anything to fix it. Front desk didn’t care. We ended up having to leave. Worst La Quinta I’ve ever stayed at.

Safe Stay: La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Las Cruces Mesilla Valley has enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place, and follows the Count on Us (Wyndham) cleanliness and sanitization policy.
