Big Deck Cabin with Lake Views & Pool Table
In the Big Deck Cabin, you will find all of the coziness desired for your mountain getaway with lake views from every room.. Bedrooms 5 & 6 have been merged into one to make the "Bunk Burrow" so the kids can enjoy their own space while the big kids enjoy the "Outlaw Saloon" complete with bar, pool table, and 2 flat screen TVs. Sit on the wrap around big deck where you can watch for deer, elk, and wild horses or simply relax in the indoor hot tub. Ski Apache is only 30 minutes away!
While this home is remodeled and has all modern amenities, it is still a cabin in the woods. Here are some things to expect:
Trash Removal: All guests are required to remove all the trash from this cabin. The dumping station is conveniently located only 3 minutes away and free. It is against zoning to leave trash outside because raccoons, coyotes, and bears WILL get attracted to the trash and destroy it and that will not be fun for anyone. If trash is not removed, there will be a $50 trash removal fee.
Temperature: This home has refrigerated air and central heat in the home. The air conditioner rarely needs to be used, if ever because of the beautifully mild summers. The heater will definitely need to be used in the snowy winters. However, please keep this in mind: heat rises! So in the summer if you have the AC on, it may be nice and chilly upstairs, but downstairs will be an icebox. Same for the winter. If you turn the heat on so that it is comfortable for the downstairs guests, the upstairs guests will melt. Find a happy medium and utilize both the extra, warm blankets we provide throughout the home during the winter or the natural cool air from outside during the summer.
Critters: We have this property inspected and treated for pests on a regular basis (more than necessary). But, you are still in the woods away from the bustle of the city. So, do not be surprised if you see a spider web on the deck or flying critters around the outside lights. We know that you're booking a mountain getaway so you are probably aware of this, but no refunds will be given due to common and acceptable bug and animal activity.

Found in the Alto Lakes neighborhood, this cabin is beautifully built into the nature around it and conveniently located off of a main road. Meaning you get the peacefulness of a mountain getaway and ease of access during difficult weather. The neighborhood is aptly names Alto Lakes since these homes have beautiful views of Alto Lake!
There is plenty of parking for four vehicles in the two driveways on the property. One cement parking slab on the side of the house and a gravel driveway directly in front of the house. Please do not enter/exit from the east side of the horseshoe drive as it is very steep and you could get stuck.
Upon arrival, you'll see the big deck staircase leading to the main floor.
Main Floor:
Through that front door, you'll enter the "Great Room" and it's not hard to figure out why we call it that. In this large, wooden, octagonal room, you'll find your formal dining table for 12, a sitting area in front of the wood burning fireplace, a living area with a large Smart TV, and large circular table fit for casual dining and game play. This room is where all of the mountain memories can be made.
The rest of the house is an off shoot of the great room. The full kitchen is equipped with all that you will need to make a homemade meal. A Keurig will provide either single cup or full pot coffee your brisk mountain mornings and the updated appliances will still give you the comfort of being in the big city.
The King Suite is located on the northern end of the house with a private bathroom equipped with an oversized bathtub with jets. Just like all of the rooms on the upper floor, it also has private sliding doors to the deck and a view of the lake.
The other two rooms on this floor can be found down the hallway attached to the Great Room. The first is known as the "Blue Room" and second is the "Green Room". We worked very hard on those names! Each has a king-sized bed and large, private sliding doors to access the big deck. And of course, lake views!
The full bathroom is located at the end of the hallway.
The other room attached to the Great Room, and perhaps the most important room, is the "Outlaw Saloon". This room is equipped with a bar, full-sized pool table, electronic dart board, and seating area in front of 2 large, flat screen TVs. A convenient half bathroom is also found directly off of the saloon.
In case you wondered, "why is it called the Outlaw Saloon?" Glad you asked! Well, one owner of the home can actually trace their lineage directly back to the Sundance Kid while another owner has family that was in Pancho Villa's gang! We are good people though, we promise! So we figured, we all have a little outlaw in us and this the place for us to let our wild west side shine!
Downstairs:
Down the stairs found off the Great Room, you'll find a full bathroom with a bedroom door on either side.
The room to the right is the Queen suite. While this room has a smaller bed than the others, it also features a wonderful sleep number mattress and sitting/working area. Did you bring the fluffy kiddos with you? This is the room for you. With a door leading directly outside, it's has easy access for walks in the wilderness and also features a built in private dog suite complete with bed, blankets, and bowls.
The next room is the Bunk Burrow equipped whichis two connected bedrooms with two bunk beds (3 twin, 1 double) and an on-suite entertainment area including bean bag chairs, flat screen tv, gaming system, and an arcade style games. The room has toys, books, and games for almost all ages!
Off the Bunk Burrow, you'll find two more rooms. The first is the laundry room where you will have access to a full-sized front loader washer and dryer. There is also an ironing board and iron for convenience (although we aren't too picky up here in the mountains).
The last and final room can be accessed from both the laundry room and outside door at the base of the big deck stairs (just around the corner). This door is kept locked with a keypad lock (Code 2070) for child safety. This room holds the indoor hot tub. All instructions and rules are posted for ease of use.
