  Check-in problems

  They did no have our reservation correct and had the wrong amount. They straightened it out and was ok. Our room was way down the end of the hall.

  Oasis in the desert

  This place is great for dogs. You have a patio with a couple of chairs and it’s all grass and trees for the dogs. You can smoke out there too. Pet rooms only have king beds by the way.

  Hotel was a bit dirty and shabby. Blood stain on sheets, shower curtain was moldy, and broken shower curtain hooks. It was a bit ghetto.

  Very disappointed!

  When arrived at hotel we were told deluxe room didn't allow pets😤. After driving for 6+hours we took the room given. Very disappointed due to pet grass area very dirty with old dog poop. Room halfway clean. Walkway around facility with trash and dog poop. Worst part of our stay, someone tried to push open the patio door... scary😯And to make stay worst, the room was haunted!! Several family members and my self saw a dark shadow steaming across side of room😳🫣😬😖😱 We left next morning!

  Nice stay

  At the time we stayed they were trying to get the grass to grow so the courtyard was always wet and muddy, but this will always be our favorite place to stay in Laughlin.

  Clean with lots of amenities

  The convenience of the room right off of the courtyard where the pet area is, was great. The in-room coffee pot was a treat after staying at the "New" Pioneer where apparently nobody drinks coffee. It was clean and comfortable.

  Great for dogs

  Golden Nugget in Laughlin is pet friendly. Once you check-in your pets (2) they give you a wrist band to attach to harness collar; it's paper and you just wrap it around. You can then take your dog in the gift shop and on casino floor. I requested a courtyard room where you can open sliding door and let leashed pets on grass. Awesome. Will be back to Golden Nugget again because of their pet policy.

  Very Dog Friendly

  We stayed two nights at Golden Nugget, Laughlin, and will stay again whenever we are there. Make sure to request a Courtyard View room. Immediate access to dog relief/exercising area with grass, rocks, dirt and bushes - a doggie paradise. My only complaint would be owners who let their dogs off leash there. At check-in, your pup gets a wrist band of sorts that allows him/her to go anywhere onsite WITH a leash. Room was clean, had a mini fridge and Keurig (bring extra K-Cups). They will allow dogs of any size if leashed and well behaved, which is a definite bonus, although pet fee is a little high. We recommend.

  Great stay!

  Not too sure what the bad bone reviews are about! This place has been great! Comfy beds, fair prices and they even allowed my 85# pup to accompany me without any hassle. Front desk agent placed us in a room with a porch door for easy access outside. Will be staying here again.

  Our room was nice and very comfortable. The pet area is very nice. Was disappointed in the parking. You use casino parking lot.

  Hotel is VERY pet friendly

  The Casino was good enough to play in and the restaurants were tolerable. Our room, on the other hand, was a bit substandard. While the room was at the courtyard level, it did provide easy access to the grassy area for our dog Rayas. Our room did not seem to have the ability to control the temperature on the AC. The AC was always stuck between 72-76 degrees all day and night, even though we tried setting it to the coldest setting. The toilet had a very obvious leak, but our solution was to wrap a towel around the base.

  The courtyard served its purpose for Rayas, as long as you didn’t go outside after 8pm. That’s when the sprinklers come on and make a mess of the area. My girlfriend even came back in one night with a nice foot-full of what she thought was mud, after running into a patch of “muddy” grass. It turned out that the “mud” happened to be from the patch of grass that had just been fertilized. A quick shower took care of odor and filth! After memorizing the schedule of the sprinklers and solving the leaky toilet, our only hard complaint was the AC. It made sleeping quite uncomfortable. I’d like to think that AC in the desert is a bit important to everyone.

  Could have been better

  First the pros: Easy check in. Easy access to room from parking garage. Nice room situated on the ground floor facing the courtyard with a patio and sliding door to pet relief area. Room was as expected for a pet room. Slight pet urine smell in bathroom but not too bad. Beds were comfortable.

  Cons: After booking a King room, I was informed by email while driving to Laughlin that the Golden Nugget only has two queen pet rooms, no King rooms. Not a huge deal just not what I booked. In room coffee machine not working. It appeared that a previous guest had put coffee in the water holder and not cleaned it out. Obviously the coffeemaker had not been cleaned or even looked at by housekeeping.

  At 9:30 the day we were leaving, we took a load to our truck, leaving our senior pet and one suitcase in the room. Checkout is 11am. We had breakfast and returned to the room to retrieve our pet and remaining suitcase & our keys didn’t work. At 10:58am we gave up on the keys and I went to the front desk and was told that they demagnetize the keys at 11 unless you have a 12 o’clock checkout. I told them I was at my room at 10:58, they gave me another key. We went back to room, retrieved our pet and suitcase and before we could leave the room, and I’m talking minutes, there was a knock at our door asking us if we were checking out. I would have been out by 11am if they hadn’t demagnetized my key before checkout. Left a bad taste in my mouth for the Golden Nugget.

  Garden view room had great access to a grassy shaded area for pets. Saltgrass Steakhouse was excellent. Cleanliness of rooms could be improved.

  The card key locks worked intermittently. The hotel hallway ceiling missing. The water smelled like rotten eggs.

  Courtyard view room a must!

  Been to many dog friendly hotels and so far, this one has been the most convenient for midnight potty breaks. Glad we opted for the courtyard view room. Sliding door opens to a personal patio space with table and 2 chairs facing other courtyard view rooms with grass area in-between. Doggy bags and trash can located almost out of sight at the far end. Pet rules reasonable, although I wasn't expecting the rule that if you leave your pet alone in the room they want it to be in a crate. My fur baby doesn't use one, but she's well trained and quiet, so they didn't know. No carpet in room, which is understandable. The room was nice enough, and fairly clean, but I noticed dog hair in areas along the baseboards. Still, the convenience of the potty area right outside our room means we'll definitely be back.

  We felt compelled to register dog with hotel, but after doing so we found out we could not be in casino or restaurants with the 9 lb dog, even in a carrier or stroller.

  Fun time

  We wanted to try a few days get away with our fur baby. She was happy with her stay and we had a good time. Nice place and look forward to returning. The walls are very thin so sleeping was a bit difficult.

  Great Getaway Spot!

  We love our dog and he’s still a baby so it’s hard to leave him alone. We brought him here on vacation with us! The staff was great and attentive. The only thing I wish there was, is a small dog area for all dogs to play. Maybe an enclosed area. But it got the job done and our puppy had a blast! ❤️
