Rustica - Costa Carpediem
Tucked away from the front row breezes of the coastline on Calpe’s wide and sun-drenched avenues, this four-bedroom, three-bathroom villa invites stylish living with lashings of space. First impressions count, and as soon as you step into the property you are greeted by a private garden studded with mature trees, flora and cacti, and a generous patio space complete with shimmering pool and sun-loungers for lazy days with a good book in hand. A pop-up gazebo and children’s play area makes this a welcome space for families craving al fresco living. From the garden, you get to marvel at the traditional architectural style of the villa. White washed walls, yawning archways, and a low-slung length bring a touch of Moorish glamor. As you pass under the archways, the outdoor kitchen with woodfire oven and family sized dining table beckons for warm evening suppers with views of the pool. For those eves when indoor dining is preferable, the cool and wide cooking space with exposed brick, tiled floors, and exposed beams is a fine example of functionality meets country design – especially with the romantic advantage of an open fireplace. Marble counters, a breakfast nook, and utility area with oversized fridge and washer keep self-sufficiency high. The open plan dining room and family lounge is a delight; a cozy feel without compromising on space. Feel free to flop on well-dressed white sofas, gather around the flickering flames of the fireplace, and curl up for movie nights in front of the TV. Wooden panels, a balance of brick and beam, and tasteful furnishings married with soft lighting gives the villa a feeling of being a home away from home. Air conditioning flows throughout the living room and three of the bedrooms offering comfortable nights and afternoon respites from the sizzling Spanish sun. Upstairs, a terrace offers gentle green vistas of the surrounding area along with a view out onto Calpe’s signature rock and makes for a delicious sun trap for end of day sunset cocktails. The property boasts four bedrooms including a double in traditional style with heavy built in wardrobes and a corner twin, painted brightly in pink and suitable for those with children in tow. Three bathrooms come with high convenience. The main bathroom is truly beautiful with a generously oversized corner bathtub, separate shower unit, heavy dressers, bright window, and slanted beams. The other two bathrooms also come with showers and bathtubs meaning that no one will be left waiting. With a shimmering blue pool, outdoor dining, space to play and plenty of slumber room there is barely a need to leave your gorgeous little villa complex. However, should the mood to explore take you, then Calpe has plenty to offer and the villa is situated well within walking distance of everything you need. The blend of urban chic meets charming fishing village means that dining, shopping, splashing in turquoise waters and wandering the ancient roman baths will keep everyone enchanted and entertained. Calpe itself is a short 7-minute stroll right into the center, and the closest sandy stretch of Arenal Beach is a 15-minute walk. Those looking to go further afield will find this side of the Costa Blanca is renowned for her beautiful sandy beaches, endless cycle trails and glittering golf courses.
