Pet Friendly Campgrounds in Maryland

Dogs are allowed in Assateague Island National Seashore Campgrounds for no additional fee. Pets must be physically controlled and on a leash no longer than six (6) feet at all times. Owners are responsible for removing pet waste and for the health, welfare and behavior (including barking) of their pet. Pets must never be left unattended in vehicles or elsewhere in the park. Pets are prohibited on lifeguarded beach (in season), in backcountry campsites, on nature trails, in Assateague State Park and north to the Ocean City Inlet, and within Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge in VA. Beach Bum West-O Cabins allows 3 dogs of any size for an additional fee of $75 per stay. Sorry, no cats.

Frontier Town allows two pets of any size for a fee of $50 per pet, per stay. Both dogs and cats are welcome, but must be crated if left unattended. Vaccination records are also required at check-in.

Sun Outdoors Ocean City is pet friendly! Pets of any size are welcome in RV sites for no additional fee. Select Cottages labeled 'Pet Friendly' in the details allow pets of any size for $50 per stay. There are two fenced dog parks and a dog beach on the property. Proof of vaccination and valid rabies tags are required.

Swallow Falls State Park Campground is pet friendly! Pets of any size are welcome in camping areas for no additional fee, but must remain leashed at all times. Pets are not permitted in the day use area or on the trails between the Saturday before Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Camp Merryelande allows pets under 65 lbs for an additional fee of $10 per pet, per night.

Dogs are allowed at Bumble Bee RV Park & Campground, but they must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after. Do not bring your pet if it is not friendly and/or will disturb others by barking all day in your camper. Other restrictions may apply. Please see website for more details.

Wild Yough Glamping Huts allows 2 pets of any size for an additional fee of $25 per pet, per stay. Pets cannot be left unattended at any time. Sorry, no pit bulls or cats.

Two pets of any size are allowed at Sun Outdoors Ocean City Gateway, but must wear current and valid rabies tags, be leashed, cleaned up after, attended to at all times and not be vicious or exotic. Pets are not allowed in vacation rentals except for designated 'Pet Friendly' units. Pets may not be left unattended at any time. Excessive barking is not permitted. Pets are not permitted in Group Tent areas. For pets staying in the rental cabins, there will be a $50/stay pet fee per pet. There is a dog park on the property. Restrooms and other buildings are off limits. Do no tie to trees. Clean up after your pet, please. Do not leave unattended. Use the dog park for exercise. Restricted Breeds: German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, Chows, Rottweiler, Dobermans, Mastiffs, Airedales, Staffordshire or any mixed breeds of those dogs.
