Pet Friendly Campgrounds in West Virginia

Gilbert ATV Resort allows 1 dog under 20 lbs for an additional fee of $50 per stay. A dog bed and food & water bowls are provided for four-legged guests. Sorry, no cats.

Abrams Creek Campground is pet friendly! Dogs of any size are allowed for no additional fee. Cats may also be allowed by request.

Hemlock Haven Cabins welcomes two dogs of any size for an additional fee of $25 per night. Dogs are allowed in all cabins. There is a fenced area attached to every cabin.

River Expeditions welcomes pets in their Campground, Safari Tents and Rustic Cabins for no additional charge.

Buffalo Gap Retreat welcomes a maximum of two pets of any size for an additional fee of $10 per pet, per night. There is a dog park on the property.

Summersville Lake Retreat & Lighthouse welcomes non-aggressive pets of any size for no additional fee in the tent area, and for $25 per pet, per night in cabins and on pontoon boats.

Bear Cave Camp welcomes pets of any size for no additional fee. There is a dog run on the property.

Harpers Ferry / Civil War Battlefields KOA allows dogs of any size for an additional fee of $1.50 per dog, per night. Dogs must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet when outside your vehicle and may not be left unattended at any time. Breed restrictions may apply. Dogs are allowed at Mountain Lake Campground & Cabins, but they must be kept on a leash (6' max length) when outside your vehicle. A current vaccination record is required. No Pit-Bulls, Dobermans, Chows or Rottweilers. No pets allowed in or outside Rentals (Cabins/Campers). No loud barking or unruly behavior will be tolerated. Do not leave pets unattended. Dogs are allowed at Millesons Walnut Grove Campground, but they must be kept on a leash when outside your vehicle, be attended to at all times, and be properly cleaned up after. A copy of your pet's vaccination record must be on file in the campground office (lessees). No pets, (with the exception of service animals), are allowed in the store, laundromat, or restrooms. Any pet causing a disturbance (i.e. excessive barking, aggressive behavior) shall be removed immediately from the campground at the manager?s request. The Outpost New River Gorge Campground welcomes a maximum of two dogs of any size for an additional fee of $30 per night in Cabins. Dogs are not allowed to be left in cabins or tied up to campsites unless the owners are present.

Blackwater Falls State Park Campground allows dogs of any size in select cabins for an additional fee of $40 per stay.
