Your Spirit Is Missed

This photo was taken at Muskrat Park in St. Michaels, MD. Erik Freas was is a neighbor of mine growing up here in St. Michaels. Him and his wife Laura owned the house next to ours. On September 14, 2015 at 7:25PM Erik was the driver of a motorcycle who crashed not even a 1/8 of a mile from his home. No other vehicles were involved. According to police reports it appeared he was trying to avoid something in the roadway. Erik was only 50 years old...he succumbed to his injuries on September 15, 2015. Thank you for always being a good neighbor. Rest easy brother.
Elwood Harrison owned a family masonry business named, Elwood Harrison and Son. He was responsible for building the majority of the brick homes here in St. Michaels, Maryland. Interesting enough, my grandfather was a friend of his brother, Hope Harrison. My companion & I lived in a rental by the Harbor for 12 years which Elwood Harrison had built back in the 1970’s. We now currently live in Elwood’s original home he built for himself and his family in 1947. His granddaughter and great grandchildren still live in the area today.
