Turtle nest on Cape San Blas beach

This photo was taken in Cape San Blas, FL. Turtles lay eggs starting in June and hatching starts in September through October. If you're lucky you'll see one of the trained turtle people digging up a nest to protect the eggs or to count the number of eggs that hatched. FL takes the turtle population seriously and tampering with a nest is illegal. Not to worry they are clearly marked and roped off. Just keep your pup and your beach chair a proper distance from the nest.
