  Great restaurant

  Great restaurant to bring pups to. They have 3 outside decks for dogs. They have a pup menu and the server even brought out a big bowl of water without us asking! Definitely would return when we come back to OBX.

  We all love Mulligan’s

  We brought Zak , our miniature labradoodle, for lunch and as always the food was great as well as the attention to Zak’s water and doggie meal! Always a favorite place for us and Zak!

  Best dog friendly restaurant

  Upstairs deck with view of the ocean. Great service and food. We always bring our own water and dish, but the other dogs had nice big bowls of water. We ordered the dog beef and rice dish which they served on a frisbee. We couldn’t have improved on the experience. After lunch we went in the fenced dog run at the rear of their property.

  Great place!

  We stopped here on our honeymoon with our daughter and dog. Food and service was amazing and fast! They had a kids menu and Dog menu! We sat on the upper deck and had an amazing view! They brought our pup a bowl of water and we even ordered chicken with rice for her off the dog menu. My daughter absolutely loved their fries. Food was absolutely amazing and very big portions! Definitely worse the price! Our waitress and the owner was the nicest people ever and made our experience even better! We can't wait to go back!

  The food was good, service great, but they forgot our dog
  bowl of water 2 times :-( but it’s was full of four legs! the view from the second floor terrace is cool and there is plenty of shade!

  Beautiful view and dog friendly!

  We sat in the top tiki bar area that overlooks the beach road- you can see the ocean! My dog had burger and rice and sat under our table. She is timid because this is first trip but everyone was very welcoming. There were other dogs there as well - once it got up to five dogs we did decide to leave to not stress our dog out. Overall, great place for dogs!

  Our Favorite!

  This was our first time to the Outer Banks and we were so happy with Mulligans we ate dinner there twice! They have plenty of parking and outdoor table where you can eat with your dogs and kids. The area next to the bar was protected from the rain but a bit more crowded. The doggie dinners served on a Frisbee were a nice touch. I highly recommend the fish tacos although everything we ordered was delicious.

  Dog friendly tiki bar, dog menu with food served on frisbees- what's not to love!! Great staff. So much fun! Order the crab stuffed pretzel!

  Great place for dogs and people

  Tiki bar was a perfect place. Good food and a bowl of water for our dog Bruce. Although it was not raining, it is covered in the event of rain or hot sun. Will go back.

  Great view from the Tiki Bar of the ocean. They have a pup menu & there were tons of pups on the upper deck when we arrived ❤️ Furtender was super nice too!

  Very Puppy friendly!

  After a day on the beach we brought our 4 month old Goldendoodle, he was instantly brought a bowl of ice cold water and given lots of pets. we also received excellent service…. a big plus is the large fenced in area for pupps to run!

  Service Treats Your Dog Like A Customer!

  This was such a wonderful experience. I 100% will be bringing our Aussie back here. The servers treated our dog like family and brought her water before we even had water! They didn’t have a dog menu but our dog definitely enjoyed the chicken and rice offered for dogs!

  Been to many pet friendly restaurants but Mulligan’s is beyond merely friends. It has a dog menu, an outside play space, and the staff was very accommodating both to our fog and us. Food and service were excellent. Great end to our vacation!

  Great place to bring you pup for dinner

  Great menu for adults and a pup menu as well! There is a rooftop deck that is screened in and heated for colder temps! Great staff! Will definitely go back!

  We ate lunch here last week. The staff was very accommodating of our 2 dogs and the food was great. I had the Shrimp and Grits and it was excellent.

  The Tiki Bar at Mulligan’s Grille was the perfect retreat during the midday heat for our party of 8 plus our boxer pup Luna. The food was great and the staff was amazing with all of us!

  Lunch stop with our baby. We are MORE than impressed with Mulligans Grille in Historic Cottage Row! They have an entire grassed, fenced in dog area for dogs to run, hooks to hook their leash on, they bring your dog a fresh bowl of water and they have a pet food menu!! Moo got chicken and white rice 🖤 and they bring their food to the dogs on a frisbee you keep! How freaking CUTE!
  Oh and their human food is DELICIOUS!

  AMAZING FOR DOGS!

  This place is a really great place to bring a dog! they let you bring your dog to the tiki bar upstairs. We visited on a chilly day and they had heaters and everything up there. The staff all loved dogs. They brought him and water immediately and THEY HAVE A DOG MENU and his food came out when ours did so he got to dine with us. There is also a dog park that is completely fenced in for pups to play! Overall, this was probably the most dog friendly restaurant I have ever been.

  Cannot say enough about what a perfect place this restaurant is when lunching with your dog. We were able to eat outside among many other pets dining with their humans. Rocco was given his own menu so we chose the chicken and rice lunch for him. It was delivered by a very nice server on an upside down Frisbee which we were told we could keep for him to play with on the beach. Staff were wonderful with our elder dog and all the other dogs that were present were well behaved and friendly! We humans loved the food and the cold beer..definitely a great choice for lunch on a sunny day!

  This place has very good food and a very nice tiki bar. They’re probably the most dog friendly restaurant I’ve been to. They brought my dog a bowl of water and even had a menu to order from just for her. The staff as a whole was very nice Abe they have a pretty neat dog run out back. I will definitely return here

  Nice side patio for doggie dining. Hooks on the wall to place the leash while eating. There is a dog menu and they give pup a collapsible water dish full of ice water, which came in handy for the rest of the trip! Fenced in dog run is a bonus!

  Stopped for dinner on a road trip. We knew they welcomed dogs (on leash, on floor only) in their tiki bar. Good view, good food, cold drinks. And then we realized they had a HUGE pup play yard in parking lot. What a joy to let him run before getting back in car 😍

  Would Give 7 Bones If We Could

  Exceptional service fur us and tremendous accommodations for the pup. Both upstairs outdoor tiki bar and downstairs patio are dog friendly. They have a special menu with chicken and rice for dogs, and bring a water bowl for each table. Upstairs patio has views of the ocean. How awesome is an ocean view with great food and your fur baby?!

  Service was excellent. Food was good. Fish tacos were amazing! View of ocean in distance. Heat lamps were turned on by staff because it was a bit chilly and windy.

  This place deserves 5+ stars on Yelp. The food is absolutely delicious! My family is quite picky and we have tried a few hyped up places in OBX , but if you want to enjoy a multifaceted menu, you need to visit Mulligan’s. The servers are fantastic and extremely attentive. To top it off, this is a dog-friendly place that offers a separate menu for your canine babies. Our frenchie absolutely loved her food. Great atmosphere and delicious food - what are you waiting for?

  Wife and I ate here with our corgi while on vacation last week. We got there about 7:30. Check in was a little confusing as we were told no servers for the dog section. We went upstairs to the tiki bar where it’s first come. We had to wait about 15 minutes on the stairs for a seat. Our server was excellent. She brought a bowl of ice water for our dog. Then she took our order and brought the dog menu. We ordered the chicken and rice for her. They brought it out and I cut the chicken up in a few more pieces. She ate it right up! Never been to a place where dogs have their own menu. Server was prompt with refills. A local singer was singing on Friday evening. It was a nice evening and a little breeze so might want to take a light jacket as the tiki bar is on the 2nd floor. We’d definitely recommend this place especially if you have your dog with you. Just make sure you get there a little before dinner rush or you’ll have a wait.

  While travelling with Penny—a recently rescued Lab with high levels of separation anxiety—leaving her at the beach rental when eating out is not a good option. How about Mulligan’s? We found this to be a good option. One recent reviewer did not care for the Tiki Bar space. We liked it. It is an upstairs covered deck area with good views of the water. The space is a little tight and Penny wasn’t wild about the live music (or maybe I’m projecting) but the staff was very friendly and served Penny fresh water. She had eaten already so we didn’t order from the doggy menu, but the rest of us very much liked our Shrimp and grits, coconut shrimp, scallops and so forth.

  One area in which some improvement could be made is in communicating how it works for a dog party. We were there on a very busy Tuesday night with long waits. They were actually able to seat us quickly in the Tiki Bar area, which was great, but it was not easy to get that information because they really don’t want dogs and owners walking through the door up to the check in desk. The dog friendly space is accessed via an outside staircase on the other side of the building.

  While there are some logistical challenges for the unitiatiated, we think Mulligan’s is a very good dog-in-tow option.

  Ended up leaving

  We stopped by on a Saturday at 12:30pm for lunch. Obviously during their “dog” hours. Had called ahead to confirm this. Saw the improved dog area which isn’t bad and there were open tables- yay! Upon going in I find out they were not seating anyone out there as they did not have a server assigned to that area. Whaaat?! No server on a busy Saturday afternoon when people can’t get into their rental home until later in the afternoon? So then the hostess offers up the upstairs Tiki Bar area- in at least 30 minutes if you don’t mind going up some random back outside narrow 2 flights of stairs. Uh, no thanks. Would have probably spent $50 bucks there on lunch and beverages since we had time. So we left and went up the street to the SnoShack and joined another family with their dog and had a great lunch!

  Great Lunch for Smokey and Family

  Lunch was fantastic; Greek Nachos are soo good, fish sandwich was great and smokey loved her pooch meal of grilled chicken and brown rice served on a frisbee that comes with the meal as the bowl! Service and food were great and the view of the ocean from the top deck was awesome.

  Another great lunch with Zak!

  I typically take my miniature labradoodle, Zak, to get lunch or a snack at Mulligan's when my husband is working the weekend, the food is great and I know Zak enjoys being on the upper deck with his dog and people friends! Thanks for opening up the deck to our furry friends!

  Eating in a parking lot

  As one reviewer stated earlier, the dog friendly place of this restaurant is literally in a parking lot. The dog bowls out there were filthy and had bugs in them. The waitress however did bring my dog a fresh bowl of water. The food was just ok....nothing special....and certainly not the best burger in the outer banks! I won't be back.

  Was VERY excited to go and it smelt great and was bey busy HOWEVER they only serve people with dogs outside from 11-5p so if you show up after that they won't serve you. We showed up at 5:15 and they said they won't serve us and we couldn't bring the dog inside. The turned away a good 50$+ by not allowing dogs after that time

  Based on one review and talking to the waitress, the restaurant enlarged its pet friendly eating area due to high demand. There are two, 6-seat tables and one, 3-seat table. Two hooks on the wall for leashes and two large bowls of water. Our waitress was wonderful. I was afraid as we were the only ones during a slow lunch we might get poor service but not so. The food came quick. My burger was average. My mom throughly enjoyed her crab cakes. Will definitely go back and try something different.

  So the only dog-friendly area of this retaurant is a little concret patio adjacent to the parking lot. No upstairs/porch seating...waste of a drive! If I wanted to eat in a parking lot I'd sit in my driveway

  Wishing for a bigger doggie dining area

  The place is great! Service was awesome and server great with our dog. Had to deduct one bone for lack of space and the tables are close together, so if u have more than one dog it gets crowded and .......... Barking starts.
