  Walked Away Without Eating

  I called ahead to make sure they were pet friendly and asked if there were seats available on the patio. I was told yes to both questions. After getting there I saw that none of the patio tables were occupied and asked for a table with shade. The hostess and a gentleman who worked there dragged a table about 30 feet away from the patio out into the courtyeard under a small tree with minimal shade. I asked why I couldn't sit on the patio and the gentleman said not everyone liked pets as much as he and I do. I said the place was empty and asked , why would he put me out there all by myself. He said it would be busy later. I advised him that I would not sit there in the middle of no where all by myself and would go to another restuarant a few doors away. When I left the other restaurant about an hour later, I saw that La Piazza had only a few tables occupied. This is not a pet friendly place.
