Merriman's

Dogs are welcome on the outdoor lanai at this legendary Hawaiian restaurant. Merriman?s Waimea is consisently voted "best big island restaurant," and is Chef Peter Merriman?s flagship restaurant in this local farm-to-table chain. The lunch menu features lighter fare like soups, salads, and sandwiches. At dinner, choose from wok-charred ahi tuna, macadamia-nut crusted mahi mahi, waipo taro enchiladas, Kahua Ranch lamb, or Hawaiian butcher's cut filet of beef. Save room for a cup of French-pressed Kona coffee and a sampler of three Merriman's delectable desserts. Indulge yourself with the coconut creme brulee, the molten chocolate purse with Tahitian vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce, and the buttery pineapple-strawberry crisp. Merriman's is open daily from 11:30am until 9pm. Reservations are strongly recommended. Visit Website
