We got greeted by a water bowl for our dog and the waitresses were very excited to see him.

We were looking for a place to eat while strolling the Riverwalk with our 4 small dogs (in a stroller) when the Hostess approached us, said she had immediate seating if we were interested, then proceeded to move chairs out of the way to accommodate the stroller, and offered to bring water for the dogs (we carry our own with a bowl). The restaurant was very busy, yet everyone went out of their way to make us and the pups feel welcome. We even had Staff stopping at our table for advice with their own dogs! The food was marvelous, prices reasonable for the location, but the Staff made the day memorable.

We ate at Casa Rio on Jan 21, 2019 and had no issues with having our dog with us. We sat outside right along the river. Food and Service was attentive and good.

We just had a great experience at Casa Rio with our chocolate lab. We sat outside and the server brought us a big pitcher of water which was refilled twice during our lunch! The hostesses were very sweet to our big dog and came over to give him lots of love! This was the perfect stop for us and our pup.

Just kicked out after waiting over a half an hour in 100 degree weather with my diabetic father My diaboes mother and my sister with hyperthyroidism, two. Todderls and a baby. Half an hour.. get seated just to be kicked out because we had a tea cup dog. Mind you their website said pet friendly, & their hostess(plural) said they were pet friendly and then they wanted to kick us out. The manager ( named Steve by the way) said he would fix thing by sitting us out side. We explained three times that we could not sit outside in this weather ( and because they had bees around their outside tables and I am allergic with no so I pen) because of the delivate health of some of our family members previously mentioned. His response was "well then you will have to go then," he proceeded to grab me (a young female) by the shoulder to shove me away from the table towards the the door scaring my sistera kids. My family have never been to san Antonio and this is the experience they got. Way to go on first impressions. Oh and Steve...it doesn't matter what health codes you have....it still doesn't give you a right to put your hands on me and yell at my underage niece and nephew.

I've been to Casa Rio before but never before I had a dog. I was very glad to be able to have dinner here and not have to leave our dog behind. Everyone being a great sport, wait staff and patrons alike. It's a great spot for dining and have always enjoyed the food here. My dog is highly entertained by watching the ducks and the boats go by!

We sat outside along the River Walk and ordered an extra water for our dog. Before our waiter was able to bring water out (in a Styrofoam bowl) another waiter brought water out (in a Styrofoam bowl). Even another member of the staff came by to ask about our dog. Very dog friendly and would recommend, not to mention the food and drinks were great too.
