Went today. No outdoor seating or take out. New policy. Delete this place. Said never heard of Bring Fido

Went for breakfast & plenty of room on patio. Their website claims to be pet friendly but this is not the case. We were told too busy to do a to go order as this restaurant ls website instructed & claimed to be pet friendly. Finding this a lot in Door County this year so going forward won’t be able to travel with our pet up to Door County which is disappointing.

To be honest, during this insanity known as COVID-19 this was our first outing since WI has started their re-opening process. Us like many others during the pandemic decided to get a dog!
That has completely changed our world and the way that we travel.
From the moment we parked to the moment that we left experienced nothing but top "dog" service.
First thing we did was pick a table and the second was get a bowl of water for the pup.
My husband went to the bar, which by the way had arrows, marked places to stand, hand sanitizer as you approach the bartenders. He ordered us a couple of beers and waters and was provided a menu. We reviewed the menu and called the phone number, they asked what he wearing and told him where to go to pick up our order in 10 minutes.
Just like that, he walked up and they asked if he was Alan and brought out our food.
The food ... we both opted for the walleye sandwich, he got cucumber salad and I got beet salad. Everything amazing! Only thing missing was the tarter sauce and coleslaw. Plus, I'm not a fan of leaf lettuce, so I tossed that aside.
After we lunch we opted for another round of beers and the bartender asked how lunch was. He explained the story and before he left with our beers, the bartender provided him with a coleslaw for me.
I thought that was great gesture and really made me feel like this is the type of place I would hang out at, if only we lived up here.
It's really rare these days to encounter people who go above and beyond. I would have to say that for our first outing during COVID-19 with our new addition of Standard Poodle, we couldn't be happier and people shouldn't think twice about visiting for the beer, food and pet friendliness.
Cheers to a job well done! - BethSep 3, 2019Stabbur Beer garden at Al Johnson’s!
Awesome beer garden, partially covered in fall. Super dog friendly with tons of beer and other drink options. Food from a smaller (but still good!) menu that you order at the nearby takeout window and they bring to the bar or your table.

Beer Garden. Limited menu but still very good. Water bowls for dogs (we bring our own) with a water cooler. Corn hole games. Nice family atmosphere.
- KariMore than a year agonot as advertised
There is no dog friendly patio. You have to go next door to the beer garden which has a very limited menu. Sure you can order take out, but can’t you do that anywhere? No dog menu, no dog bowls. Dog-friendly only in that dogs are allowed in the beer garden.
- TomMore than a year agoNice family area that allows dogs
Next door to the restaurant they have a nice family friendly area with a bar and counter service for food. There is a limited menu in this area. We ordered takeout from the main menu. They had water bowls, but no treats/menu for the dogs. Good food, great view, very dog and family friendly.
