  Had lunch at the dock location. lunch was good and my dog liked it as well 😬. would recommend

  Ok location

  They found us a table outside, but it was with grumbling. The waitstaff was very nice but hostess behaved as though we were weird for bringing our pup. To be fair it is Feb 2023, and they may not have planned to have outdoor staff. It was in the mid 60s so cool but not cold by any means.

  Great lunch on the docks

  As others have said, this address is the docks location which I believe was only open for lunch while we were there in November. You order inside and then can sit in any of many outside areas to eat. The food was delicious and the view was great! We bring our own water for our dog so I’m not sure if there was any available.

  Dewey's Harborside excellent experience!

  Based on some of the other reviews on here, I was prepared to not be impressed, but a coworker of my husband's said this was one of his favorite places to eat in Destin, so we gave it a try. We came for lunch on a Saturday and were told that with our corgis, we could sit on pleasant patio on the side or at a lone, partially shaded table with a view of the water. We took the waterview table and felt like we had our own little private VIP deck. Great view! They brought water out to our girls and our server was great! My husband got the triple tail bronzed and I got the pecan crusted grouper. Yum yum yum! Really, really good. We will definitely eat there again!

  Courtyard During Lunch Only

  I agree this place merely tolerates dogs, but that's enough for me. They made an exception for me because it was slow and only 4pm, but their policy is only allowing dogs at lunch. The server was great and so was the food.

  Dog friendly in court yard

  Deweys on harbor side (Harbor Blvd.) was dog friendly in the courtyard (lunch time) it’s very pretty. There’s a great breeze & lots of trees & our waitress was absolutely fabulous with our dogs (2 large dogs) they did not give dog treats out but they gave us a pitch of water because we had our own bowl for our dog. We carry our own dishes anyways I’d rather my dog drink out of their bowls instead of a community bowl. I can understand if you get a waiter or waitress that may not be dog friendly so you take your chance when you go to restaurants when you are taking your dogs and you always will get people wanting to pet your dog so that something that you should not be annoyed by.
  We always have great experience with the food here the colossal‘s shrimp yis the best and the chocolate lava cake with coconut sauce is awesome.

  Great Seafood

  There are 2 Deweys. The one located on the docks is pet friendly, very casual, all take out and you sit on picnic benchs. The other one, a nice restaurant would NOT allow us to sit with dogs. The seafood at the one on the docks is worth going to. Best crab cake ever, fried shrimp and huge grilled shrimp. Prices at one on Docks are so reasonable.

  Sort of pet friendly

  We arrived around 5 pm and were told they'd make an exception to seat us with our puppy since she was so small but they are really only pet friendly during lunch hours. They sat us on the garden patio where you really can't see the water but there's nice tree covering to keep cool. It was nice and peaceful until the dinner crowds started arriving and pestered us to death about our cute puppy...yes it really does get annoying. I agree with Janet, the food wasn't that great.

  not dog-"friendly"

  They tolerate your dog, but you are not allowed to sit under the covered deck so be sure and check the weather. They don't offer water and you almost feel like a nuisance. Food isn't that great either.
