  Awesome place for pups!

  Definitely a great place to bring dogs and they will get lots of love from the staff! They do have to be out on the deck so I wouldn’t go if it’s raining, but I love bringing my dogs on sunny days. ❤️

  Great place for the pups.

  Every time we are in Pensacola, we bring our pup to the Oar House. Super friendly staff and plenty of room to roam!

  Disappointed

  We usually like this place. The other day we went with our Shih Tzu. We let him up on the chair and he laid down (away from table). All guests around us was waving at him and smiling. The so-called Manager (hitting on waitresses whole time) came over and said a guest inside didn't like him setting on the chair and its against the law. This is the 1st time in 10 years we have been there and asked our dog not to be in the chair. He wasn't on the table or bothering anyone!

  LOVE THIS PLACE!

  Bring your kids and your dogs. They are super friendly here. It os a great place for adults to hang out, play cornhole or volleyball, put your toes in the sand, have a beer on the beach. Dogs are allowed and catered to. They bring out dog bowls of water for your pet and treats! Food is good and service is awesome. Whole place is wheelchair accessible, from the indoor dining, outdoor deck dining, to the batrooms. Our whole family loves eating here. We are always taken care off.

  Great food. And defiantly dog friendly.

  Just moved to Pensacola and on the look for dog friendly places. The Oar House is adding to our list of places to come back. Staff is great and food is fresh and wonderful.

  Not Pet Friendly!

  I actually reviewed them immediately on Trip Advisor when I first had this experience then I found that they were listed as dog friendly on BringFido and thought I should say something. I sat outside at the bar (on a high bar stool) with my dog. I went there specifically because they said they were dog friendly. Went to the bar and ordered a drink and a menu for dinner. My dog is a little 12lb pup and he was standing on his hind legs to get in my lap, so I picked him up and put him in my lap. There was only 1 man (who was clearly a regular at the bar) who sat 4 stools down from me. The bartender told me that I could not have my dog in my lap or on a chair of any kind. Then the guy 4 spots down said "yeah, I don't want fur in my food". So I asked for the check and told them I would take my business elsewhere. You are either dog friendly or you're not. I sit outside with smoke in my face at times. I don't like it, but people sit outside to smoke. It all has to do with setting the expectations with your customers. I will never go back with or without my dog and it's a shame because before then I was a regular customer inside at the resteraunt.

  Just So-so

  Found this place on BringFido so we thought we’d give it a try as we drove thru the area. Sadly I can’t give it 5 bones. Servers were all very nice but the food was just so-so. Had the Grouper sandwich and it was nothing I could recommend. Also tried the gumbo soup...it was fine. Our dog enjoyed the deck and all the sites on the water. One family with a dog on the deck let their dog roam around leashless by himself???? Who does that at a restaurant? Oh, And Skip the bathrooms.....YUCK!!!!

  Great food, great service, great atmosphere! Awesome place to bring the dog! Staff even provided her own water bowl. High recommend.

  "Barked" up the BEST tree!

  The atmosphere was wonderful. The food some of the best i have had in a very long time and the staff was very friendly toward me and my dogs. When my husband and i got there the patio was closed but a server, Mark, told us to go ahead and find a seat. They were so awesome. Many staffers stopped by to say hello and pet our girls. Made all of us feel at home. We will definitely be back.

  Pet Friendly Oar House

  My husband and I live in Fairhope, We heard so much about the Oar House. they brought our Basset a water bowl, we ordered a chicken breast for our hound. the best Shrimp and Grits around, and I have tried several. I was very hesitant to try grits after my last experience, I was floored, they gave me a sample and I immediately ordered it. We will definitely be returning. The View is not the Greatest, Unfortunately we were only able to see docked boats. we greatly enjoyed ourselves regardless, service was wonderful.

  The server, Jess K, was awesome! She doted on Rowdy and us. Food was wonderful, atmosphere was perfect and service was on point.

  I loved this place! Our server was very attentive of our pup and mindful to make sure she had plenty of water. There's plenty of outdoor seating and the food was great! It was fun to watch all the boats in the marina.

  Awesome Place

  Pensacola is simply a dog and dog owner friendly city! My White German Shepard and I met a friend for lunch at The Oar House and I was pleasantly surprised. The service was fantastic, favorably priced and the sitting on the deck was perfect along with great food. My dog has some social anxiety issues and even with that said, she laid down and enjoyed herself while the waitstaff made certain she was comfortable and hydrated.

  Great service and great food! Brought a water bowl to our table right away for our fur babies! They even offer military discount mon through Wednesday!!! Very dog friendly!

  Loved it! Went twice during our week stay in Pensacola. Food was good, service was great, and the dogs were very welcome.

  Great Hidden place

  Great hidden restaurant in Pensacola, was a hit. Well worth the drive off the main strip. Great atmosphere great food and very friend to us and our dog. Brought her water and treats. Nice outside patio with a band.

  In what is not the most dog friendly town, the Oar House is an oasis. Staff is friendly and attentive to patrons and their dogs. Nice setting on the water and the food is great too.

  Large outside active area and a great waitress.. This place actually keeps large water bowl for dogs. The restaurant is on the beautiful water and a friendly atmosphere and good food. What more could you ask for?! We will return with our dogs!! Thank you!!

  Was on vacation in Pensacola and was told the Oar House was a place to dine on the water. Wow!! what a beautiful place for family, friends and dogs.
  Volleyball court was packed, both outside bar along with the doggie area were packed as well as the inside bar, had "GREAT" entertainment and as a former restaurant owner the food was excellent. Crab Cakes are some of the best I have ever eaten. The name fits it well "The Friendly Place With The Big Deck". Next vacation, we will be back!!
