Entry Requirements
Complete the following entry requirements to travel to Uruguay with your pet:
- Obtain a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian in the country of origin that shows your pet is is free of communicable diseases and has been vaccinated against rabies at least 30 days before entering the country, and a maximum of one year before travel.
- Health certificates must include a full description of the pet and the owner's details.
- Dogs must also be treated against Taenia Echinococcus (Hydatic Cyst) with an antiparasitic containing Praziquantelwithin a minimum period of 72 hours and a maximum of 30 days before arrival.
Quarantine Information
Pets traveling to Uruguay do not need to be quarantined if they meet all the necessary requirements listed above.
