Not a bad place to stop
Oxford Suites Spokane ValleyOne of the biggest pluses to staying here was that they had a room big enough for all five people in our party plus our two dogs, which I always love. They put us near the outside entrance, which was great as well. There was a small area for the dogs, but the bag dispenser for poop bags was empty, and the area looked like it could use someone cleaning it better. As far as the human accommodations, while the room size was great and it was clean, it was a bit stuffy, the bathroom was small, and they seemed to be understaffed. It took a while to get checked in because of that. We would stay here again, though, if passing through.
Mixed bag
La Quinta by Wyndham ButteSo far on our trip this has been the best place for dogs. There is a large parking lot off the first floor with lots of grass that is outside an exterior door, so no having to go through the lobby. We did not notice poop bags, though. This grassy area was the largest on our trip. They even allowed you to leave the dog in your room as long as they had your cell phone number to alert you if they were barking.
On the human side, I had read that the rooms were small but thought, how small can they be? Very! We had a room with two queens, and there was no room to put anything bigger than a backpack, so one bed stored all our luggage. Also, I got little sleep since the bed was pretty hard for my taste. The bathroom was nice sized, though, and the staff was incredibly friendly. So, it’s one of those instances where you have to choose what is most important to you.
Quality in name only
Quality Inn SheridanI will begin with the positive, which was that there was a large grassy area for the dogs to potty. However, there were no bags or trash cans anywhere to be seen. The negatives: where do I begin? When I made the reservation I was given the number of the two rooms we would have. When we arrived we had to show our confirmation numbers because they moved our rooms. We asked for at least one with an outside entrance to the room, which we did end up getting. However, the key did not work on the outside door, which the staff said happens when it gets hot and there is nothing they can do. Not sure what the good in an outside door is if that is the case. Also, the deadbolt did not work on the outside door either. There was lot of noise upstairs. The rooms smelled and were dirty. The linen on the one bed was torn. The staff was not helpful. For all this the rooms were way over priced. I doubt if we will ever stay in a “Quality Inn” again.
