Catherine's Landing Pet Policy A maximum of 2 dogs are allowed at Catherine's Landing for no additional fee, but they must be kept on a leash when outside your vehicle, and cannot be left unattended at any time. A gated, off-leash park is available. Please bring the necessary supplies (plastic bags, pooper scoop) and clean up after your pet. If the pet is left alone in the cottage or yurt it must be crated. If you do not have a crate, check with the office--they have a large one that may be rented (if available). Assateague Island National Seashore Campground Pet Policy Dogs are allowed in Assateague Island National Seashore Campgrounds for no additional fee. Pets must be physically controlled and on a leash no longer than six (6) feet at all times. Owners are responsible for removing pet waste and for the health, welfare and behavior (including barking) of their pet. Pets must never be left unattended in vehicles or elsewhere in the park. Pets are prohibited on lifeguarded beach (in season), in backcountry campsites, on nature trails, in Assateague State Park and north to the Ocean City Inlet, and within Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge in VA.
