Three Bones …. No way

We were driving back to Maine from Florida and after reading reviews, we figured we would try a Red Roof Inn for the first time. We had been driving back and forth for 10 of the last 12 years, always using BringFido. This room was beyond filthy. Even The ‘welcome’ mat by the door was dirty and torn. The window sill above the A/C unit was thick with black ‘mold??’. The curtains were shabby. I spilled some water from my dogs dish and wiped it up and the cloth was black., so the floors had not been touched.

We both wanted to shower but the shower curtain was covered with mold spots and all black along the bottom. The bathroom door wouldn’t close and was all chewed up along the bottom. I never took my shoes off and removed all bedding but the bottom sheet. Thankfully we had pillows of our own. I looked up just before closing my eyes to see black spots on the ceiling. I don’t care if you are spending $75 or in our case $168.00 (yup) for the night, the room should be clean, shower usable. If it had not been a long hot day we would have tried to find another place to stay.
