Homeless camp adjacent
Houska Dog ParkNot dissing homeless people - I know that they need somewhere to go - but road trippers looking for a dog park might want to be aware that half of the dog park is now an encampment. We would have stayed anyway except the conditions in the dog park are pretty bad and possibly unhealthy for dogs - dirty water in pools, garbage, etc. Sad because you can tell it was an awesome place for dogs a few years ago.

Nice looking dog park, but not free!
Van Riper Dog ParkBe aware, you need to stop somewhere in town and get a $2 permit to take your dog in the dog park.
