Perfect room, location so-so

Our experience at Holiday Inn Express was excellent— they put us and our two 60# dogs at the end of a hall on the first floor — just perfect. The room was a great size and the close proximity to a side door made it really easy to take our dogs out for potty breaks. The only drawback is that the hotel isn’t convenient to anywhere that felt comfortable for taking them for a long walk. We did several laps of the park across the street but that didn’t take the energy down enough so we drove the dogs downtown which was vacant but had more walkable streets. There is a dog park nearby but we didn’t check it out due to rain.
