Not so dog friendly after all

I really love Fairmont hotels and the level of service they provide so I was hoping for an equally good experience with my pup. Unfortunately it wasn’t the case. While dogs are allowed in the hotel, that is about it. You aren’t allowed to leave your dog alone in your room, but dogs are also not allowed on the patio of any dining facility. This means meals….or even coffee are either external or room service. At a minimum they could have provided a list of dog friendly restaurants and parks nearby. I also had to ask three times over the day to finally get the dog bed and bowls they provide. The staff wasn’t aware that I was bringing a dog and didn’t have anything prepared. Overall, I would rate this hotel ‘dog tolerant’ rather than friendly.
