Worked Fine, But So Would Others
Comfort Inn & SuitesNot a bad experience insofar as it related to us having our dog in tow, but the hotel itself was a little less than organized and staff was not particularly friendly or accommodating.
After road-tripping for more than 12 hours, we arrived to the front desk where I gave our last name and showed them the reservation. They told me I didn’t have a reservation and even got a bit hostile before I reminded them that I have a confirmation email in hand. After they helped other customers at the desk who were asking for things they admitted were “not totally urgent,” the receptionist returned their attention to my missing reservation. Turns out that someone—“the night shift guy”—had inexplicably checked me us the night before, so we had a reservation after all.
They didn’t apologize or take any accountability for the confusion and inconvenience. But I can’t deny that their room was spacious enough to accommodate a big, 80-lb dog. Just would’ve been nice if anyone said at any time, “I am sorry for the confusion.” Instead, they just kept telling me, “I have no idea why that guy did this.”
