Clean, Spacious, Friendly

Immediately upon walking through the front door, the staff was so friendly and helpful. We came for two nights with our two (older) Labrador Retrievers. We were given a room on the first floor which was clean and very spacious. Both dogs had no problem there and this was their first time (ours too) at a dog friendly hotel. The relieving area outside for the dogs was very small; my dogs relieve on command wherever I ask, so it was not a problem for me, but could be for some pups. The hotel was a very nice property with a lovely area for morning breakfast/evening drinks inside; or outside seating which was really beautiful and you could bring your dogs to this area with you. The complimentary breakfast was superior to any I've had at other hotels over many years. Many choices of breakfast items, as well as excellent waffles, and a chef who cooked made to order omelettes (with at least 8 items to choose from to add). Great staff, excellent food, perfect location, and the prices to stay were reasonable. We would definitely stay at the Ayres Hotel Vista Carlsbad again.
