Nice staff & walking path
Hampton Inn Columbia I-26 Harbison BlvdPros: This hotel had really nice front desk staff (the only staff we interacted with on our short overnight stay). It also sits in front of a small lake/pond with a walking trail around it which is nice to stretch the legs after a long car trip. Cons: our room had a visibly dirty floor (they welcomed feedback at check out and I’m sure I could have called earlier but I was exhausted after driving 9 hours. I’m not sure if they had lots and lots of dogs staying there or if we were simply all put on only the first floor but it was louder than other dog friendly hotels. Lastly, our room faced the parking lot but the curtains would not close fully. I used two hair clips to keep it shut for privacy. Overall, would not personally stay again.

Easy highway access
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Lake Norman Huntersville NCThis hotel is right off I-77 so it’s very easy to get there and get back on the road after your stay. We did a short overnight stay. The staff was super friendly and welcoming to our doggo. The hotel looks like it was recently updated. The lobby was nice, bright and clean. The room was also spacious, clean and had a GREAT black out shade. They have a small fenced space for pups but likely better for smaller dogs. The parking lot has a lot of lights and spots. It's also short walking distance to at least 3 restaurants for take out. The only con is the hotel room door had a large gap at the bottom and right side letting a lot of hallway light in. Would recommend and stay again.

Welcoming to Pups & excellent food!
Zest Kitchen and BarWe were able to sit in the shade due to umbrellas they have. They brought him his own water bowl. He got lots of pets & love. It is cozy for folks walking past (our pup is a 60lb border collie mix with a poofy tail…) but the welcoming staff and delicious food will absolutely make this a repeat for us (with or without our dog)!
