Great for the dog, poor room design for people
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Amarillo I-40 West TXI booked a King Suite and the bathroom was so small you can't open the bathroom door without it hitting the toilet, so it was like one of those bathroom stalls where you have to stand awkwardly next to the toilet to close the door. Also makes it tough to just use the sink, take a shower, etc. Also the air conditioner was noisy and blows right on your feet in bed. For the dog it was great though, they have a small potty area and you can walk laps around the hotel with grass all along it so it's easy to get a little exercise and for them to relieve themselves. It's also located on the edge of the city and not as busy, so that was a plus as well.

Overall great hotel
La Quinta by Wyndham GallupRooms were modern and roomy (I booked a King Suite) and they have a nice gated dog area with a picnic table. It's all smooth gravel though, fine for my dog but I know one person was having trouble with his dog not figuring out how to go #2 there. It's located in a large plot with other hotels though, so it's easy to take little walks, and there is a grassy area closer to the highway for picky dogs that need grass to relieve themselves.
