Unsafe and room was dirty

Motel backs up to unsafe area. Front desk person suggested we park there. Fence around property not closed and unsavory people used it as a walk-thru and much left over plastic and food plates, etc. they lived there at nite. Front desk is locked with front desk behind plexiglass. Asked her why, she said those homeless people would come and try to sleep in lobby and eat the breakfast. Several electric plugs didn’t work. I did mention this to her, but I needed to stay on first floor with my 2 small dogs. It was late afternoon and decided to stay, it’s difficult to find hotel rooms that take dogs late in the day.
