Good location, spotlessly clean, not luxurious.
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Amarillo I-40 West TXComfortable, clean, and friendly but they skimp on the quality and quantity of things like towels, pillows, soap, cups, etc., allotting exactly one per person. Everything is perfectly adequate but you won't feel pampered. Location is great. The Mexican place across the road (The Plaza) is really good.

Pleasant but mediocre
Quality Inn Near Grand CanyonThe place is clean but on the tired side. The staff is pleasant but disengaged. There's a strong smell of chemical cleaning products throughout the building. It's adequate, safe, clean, and inexpensive.

Really nice hotel
La Quinta by Wyndham Bakersfield NorthClean hotel, friendly staff, spacious room. Very good for the price.

Great food, friendly people
GOATS Restaurantfantastic southwestern menu items and great beer from associated Badass Brewery. they don’t have a terrace but do welcome dogs into the restaurant. great find!
