Great hotel for dogs

Econo Lodge Socorro

This hotel is perfect if you have a dog. The dog rooms are at the back of the complex behind the main building, you can drive right up to your door which is so convenient. The room was completely remodeled with vinyl flooring instead of carpet which is perfect for dogs. Extremely quiet, I couldn't hear a single other person all night, so my dog was calm and settled in easily. The hotel was single story, so no footsteps above which I loved. There is a huge gravel lot that is the "dog area" so there's plenty of potty spots. All in all a great experience!

Clean Hotel

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Albuquerque Airport an IHG Hotel

The room was very nice and super clean. I'm not sure if all of the dog friendly rooms are in one location, but the staff put us in the very last room, right next to the side entrance of the hotel. This meant every 10-15 minutes the side door would slam shut, which was rough to sleep through. My dog understandably was startled by it as well. The walls seemed very thin and I could hear the people above me stomping on the floor. The hotel is also right next to a busy road and very close to a high school that had a super loud football game (complete with fireworks) going on that you could hear from the room. If I were staying in this hotel room on my own it would have been fine, but trying to get a dog to relax in a noisy environment is a lot more challenging, so I would say skip this hotel if your dog is noise sensitive.
