Room smoked in
La Quinta by Wyndham Philadelphia AirportIf you have a dog, go somewhere else. The 'pet friendly' rooms are the ones that have been smoked in. Very obvious that they are trying to cover up the smoke odor with cleaning chemicals. Also I saw people on upper floors opening windows and smoking from their rooms. Also it's a bad sign when they require you to sign a 'code of conduct' document when you check in. Stay away.
Great hotel but noisy
Clarion Pointe Sevierville-Pigeon ForgeHotel was excellent and I would stay again. Only issue is extreme amount of road noise if you are in a room facing the street. Not an issue at night sleeping, however road noise starts up again early morning. Extremely busy street during the day.
Room was fine
Quality Inn QueensburyRoom was great and large grassy areas on all sides to take your dog out. Keep in mind the first floor rooms all open directly outside (no inside hallway) and they have a smoking chair outside each room door. So there is the possibility that there may people outside your room smoking all day and all night.
Better than expected
Baymont by Wyndham Portage Indiana DunesSafe, quiet, good location right off highways. Clean and no odors in hallways or rooms. I would stay here again. Better reviews than similar hotels in the area.
Would stay again
Sonesta Select Chicago Elgin West DundeeGreat hotel, clean, no odors, was placed in a room next to the outside door which was convenient for taking dog out. Only issue was the food service and breakfast was not available. But I got a very discounted rate which made up for that. Safe, great location.
